Ok did you Highlight the text (http://) in the box labelled URL before pasting? Yes but as soon as I right clicked to paste the highlight was removed !

Right now we're cooking! I use Ctrl & V to paste once I've highlighted. I'd also tried it with the right click. Both worked in IE & Chrome. However I think I've worked out why. My cursor is still over the box when I do this. So I tried it with the cursor somewhere else & it did what you said. Hadn't even thought about it as my cursor is always over where I want to paste & if by chance I'd done it my cursor would have been over an area you can't type into & neither browser give paste as an option. However if your cursor is over an area you can type (other than the highlighted box) then you do get the paste option & the highlighting goes. However it seems to paste wherever the cursor is so can't quite work out how you get the url in the box with the paste. But regardless of that I think we've sorted out the difference so I'll change the wording to say something like delete or overtype this is exactly why different people need to test this helps because its easy to assume certain things & get unexpected results
