Heavy rain (or at least it sounded like it - could have been enhanced by wind) overnight & windy, enough to knock over an almost empty wheelie bin. Today it's non-recycling but I put the bin out last night as with the cat litter weight in it it was highly unlikely to be blown over! Mind you Joycelyn blew an empty wheelie bin 2/3rds the length of the house, must have blown it over so that it was full length down the side path as it wouldn't fit across the path as it had to go past compost bins. It landed up on the patio & the even emptier (at that time) wheelie bin was blown along the patio (its just at the end of the side path just past the house end. The 2 bins were together making an L shape! Isha only blew the 2 bins over. I thought Joycelyn was supposed to be not quite as bad as Isha!

Very cold ๐ฅถ and frosty this morning, windscreen frozen today. It was very cold in the night and had gone frosty, but when I got up this morning it had all gone, so no frozen windscreen for me.

It was cold last night but hadn't realised why it was chilly indoors. We'd had a few power blips (not just me) yesterday around 9:30-9:50pm then 1 more nearer midnight. I was up late ( after the heating goes off) & this morning it took a while for me to realise that it was cooler than normal (I had been kept warm by doing cat litters/food/my breakfast etc). On investigation I found that the heating & hot water control (hive) was off. The thermostat was recording the temperature at 14, so at least the house is reasonably well insulated! Good job I didn't go for the shower/hair wash I was planning as with the electric immersion heater off, the hot water tank was cooling & any hot water run off was being replaced by cold which wasn't being heated!!! All it needed was the control unit being powered off & on again & all started working fine Gradually the house warmed up. Soon found Lexie on the climber upstairs leaning against the radiator

Glad that you sussed out the heating problem tonib. Lexie must have been glad to get warm again. I was annoyed this morning that all of my car windows were iced over. That was not on the weather forecast or I would have put a cover on the windscreen. I know it rained in the evening because Toffee was wet when he finally (after running off 4 times) decided to go in the cat pen. I had to dry him off. The rain must have then frozen.
