That's mean not to tell you about the heating problems orpheous87, I expect they were worried you would all walk out. A very cold start with frost on the car. By the time I got to work my windscreen washers were still not working, so still less than 0 degrees.

The silly thing is, we can all work from home so we could easily have just come home and set up again and got on with our day. But what was annoying was people were asking and being told 'the temperature is fine, it's rising' as though we weren't all sat on the office floor and could tell them that it absolutely wasn't rising. Thankfully today they seemed to have got it working properly and it was much warmer. Tomorrow I will work in the cold again because I work from home and don't have the heating on in my room

Snow here this morning!, mainly melted on the roads but I believe its going to be cold tonight if not more snow so the roads won't be good in the morning but so far I don't need to go out. The boys went out but Stevie was back sooner than normal but was still in (on the windowsill) when I got back from my hospital pharmacy trip but headed out again before I got in the house! As it was just gone 4 pm I managed to persuade him to come back in for the evening (bribery & corruption with treats for all) Shady had been out in the snow when I left for the hospital but was on his usual spot on top of the fridge freezer (in the utility room which is shut off from the house when they're kept in & not coming down but the rustle of the treat packet did the trick! Lexie was in keeping warm so came running as well Sorry to hear about your cold office orpheous87, glad they've got it sorted though.

It's really cold and very frosty today - I'm just wondering whether 🤔 to take Elsa a walk because it's so cold - my fingers are bad again with the drop in temperature and Elsa hates going out when it's freezing cold .

Snow still here but melting fast, had no more & it's definitely cold outside. Stevie was out for longer than yesterday but Shady has spent more time at home today. One of my wheelie bin lids was frozen shut mid morning, I had to really prise it open but the patio is clear but the lawns & part of the drive & road still have some snow.
My friend Ajax is iced in as the paths, steps & road are all icy with snow, none of the neighbours' cars have moved out & still have snow on them. The road (track?) up the hill to her terrace is unadopted so doesn't get any care!

The road (track?) up the hill to her terrace is unadopted so doesn't get any care! Poor Ajax, she really is stuck until the snow and ice start to thaw. If it snows where I park (in M.I.L.'s driveway), we would have to clear the driveway before I could get out. when M.I.L. is no longer there, I will have to park up the road around the corner. There are parking spaces but it's a one-way system and it's narrow and quite long and around in a circle and then down a very steep hill to get back to my house - that road would take a lot of clearing of snow and ice before I could go out. Hubby has a garage just past the start of the one-way system - he would have to do a sneaky drive past 3 houses to get on the 2-way bit!! Usually he has to go the long way round. Today it was -5 degrees when I came to work. It's sunny now and still really cold.

Yes that is very cold tonib 🥶 I took Riley a little walk this morning around the block (he has shorter walks now due to a bit of a stiff left hip) It doesn’t give him a lot of bother only if he has longish walks the joint supplements definitely make a difference 🐶he has been having a walk one day and having a rest day whilst it has been so cold but when he got up this morning he seemed to be a bit stiff so even though he had a walk yesterday I decided to put him his warm coat on this morning and took him a short walk , omg 😳 it was ‘so ‘cold 🥶 🥶my legs were literally numb and Riley was very slow bless him walking up our road ☹️ I don’t think it was a good idea but I just want to try and keep him moving , I don’t want him to stiffen up too much with the cold weather🥶it’s definitely a rest day tomorrow 🐶

The wind has picked up here throughout the day but not yet at the storm levels we're expected to get. Still very cold outside.

The wind has really picked up here, luckily the binmen came today to empty everyone's 2 recycling wheelie bins that been emptied on Friday (I think the snow put everything back). With cardboard & plastics being light there could really have been a mess if they hadn't. I must admit I had expected them yesterday as does often happen when they miss Friday but 8:28 in the morning on a Sunday was a real shock! Empty bins now safely stored (hopefully) out of the worst of the wind to come.
We've got yellow warnings for rain from midnight last night to 6a.m. tomorrow and also for wind from midday today to midday tomorrow. It was raining this morning (poor binmen) but is dry now but the wind definitely building up, strong gusts but not too bad at the moment.
Cats went out this this morning (well Lexie didn't) I saw Shady, tail fully bushed out, running/leaping across the lawn, I think he was slightly enjoying the wind. Stevie went for a wander a bit further afield as normal but was back early. They are now ensconced indoors, not necessarily by their choice, but if the wind is getting stronger I don't want them at risk from wind damage.

Getting windier here too. We're on an amber weather warning for wind and the forecast is saying gusts uptown 60mph during the night so anything could happen.
