has anyone got some good refrences for some dog boots for barley, he gets snowballs in between his pads on his feet and it is really uncomfortable for him, cutting the hair in his pads does not work and he hates it being done, he also gets salt grit on his paws and licks them and makes his feet sore, i do wipe his feet when we come in from a walk, but he still licks them, also some good boots that have got nice grips on them for running. Thank you in advanced for any advice or links

We got some dog boots for Amber a while ago, we got the Ruffwear Grip Tex Bark N Boots from www.muddypaws.co.uk. They are very good and we would recommend them, they've lasted and are still as good as new - we use them for winter road walking Hope that helps

Pop some vasaline on his paw pads before you go for a walk. When you get back pop his paws in some warm water to melt snow.
Keeo fur around paws nice a short by giving it a trim.
Avoid walking on salted roads/paths if possible as salt burns. The vasaline should help though.
Cant advise on boots though, never needed them.

Muckpawz are good but only for leash walking.

Just spray your dog's feet with baby oil before you go out and then rinse them when he comes in.

I wouldn't make Earl wear boots - he's hate it. I'd go with the idea of rubbing some Vaseline over them before he goes out then rising them when you come back in. Maybe the pads would get a bit cold, but dogs are designed to wear their birthday suit Earl simply wouldn't walk in boots. He's plant his feet and look up and give you the eyes.
