OMG EVERYONE I HAVE SUCH GREAT NEWS!!!!! First of all though, i am sorry about not being able to post, my laptop had broken and i can't really get on here any more, my only way is by using my ipod and it takes like days to read a thread on there Okay anyway on with the good news. So today i was walking Milo to the field and a random little jack russell ran over to us, it was off lead and no owner was in sight, of course i started to have a little panic as it ran over to Milo but i let them sniff and stuff (i've been praising Milo for friendly quick hellos and it's been going well). Well we carried on with the walk and this little jack followed us, walking right by Milo's side, they both stopped to sniff every now and again then carried on walking together, of course i was shocked!!! At one point the dog ran over to Milo and then ran forward gesturing to play, and Milo happily bolted forward to play chase (not realizing he was on a lead). Then another crazy thing happened, the jack playfully jumped up at Milo's face and there was no reaction of out Milo, he just happily carried on walking, side by side with this random dog!!!!!! We walked all the way to the field with the dog, him and Milo walking right next to each other!!!!!!!!!!! When we got to the field i saw a woman and asked if she knew who the dog belonged to (it didn't have a collar or anything on) and she said it was her next door neighbors, so me, Milo and the woman walked the dog home, Milo and the dog said there goodbyes and we got on with our walk. I know it probably doesn't sound as amazing to youse as it is to me but i've been working with Milo for ages and i never expected such an amazing outcome!!!

Well done to both you and Milo - you should be really proud of yourself - you did it! I have problems with Kobi, my Patterdale Terrier; when we walk him, he will insist on barking in other dogs faces, while his tail is wagging, and pulling really hard on the lead. He loves some dogs, mostly small ones, but feels intimidated by big dogs - he has been attacked twice by a local Bull Mastiff that the owner lets out on the road! it has even knocked an old lady over and made her dog run off!

scallywag Thankyou so much!! At first i was a little tense but i relaxed and it really payed off!! Hopefully in the future Milo will be able to play with dogs no problem!! petitsfilous I really am and thankyou!! Yes, some parts of the estate are a little rough and people think letting there dogs wonder around the streets all day is okay, it's really annoying but had kinda helped in some ways!! Thankyou gladys Thankyou from me and Milo migsy Thankyou so much!! I'm very proud of him!! When he was sniffing and playing with the dog you really wouldn't have thought he had problems in the past with other dogs!! lotsofcats Thankyou!! Your poor dog!! Has anyone spoken to the local dog warden about the mastiff!!? I understand how you feel with your dog only liking certain dogs, Milo hates black labs, thats the next thing we have to work on!! BorderTerrier Thankyou so much BT!!!!!!

I love hearing about good progress, and about brilliant dog ownership like this, not everyone is as dedicated to their pets as this, it truly makes me happy

rebeccabecca Wow thankyou so much!! I know you're all probably sick of me posting in here now!! But I have more good news, on Milo's birthday (29th September) we seen Milo's identical litter mate, Milo was happy to see him and they both had a sniff before Milo got bored and walked away Also this morning he was playing with 3 dogs (all at the same time) and was wonderful, i'm planning on taking him to the beach next Saturday as a reward
