I'm happy to report that Milo's dog aggression is slowly getting better, i feel a lot more confident walking him around dogs now. He has a few dogs around the estate he sniffs with as we walk past their gardens, although it is behind gates and fences it still makes me confident that he is being friendly with other dogs (i'm not just guessing, his body language is playful and friendly as he associates with them). A few days ago (well a week or two) a loose dog came running up to us- off the lead- with it's owner frantically running behind, screaming for the dog. At first i started panicking, but started laughing and relaxing just before the dog came over (i'm not insane, i was trying to drop the tension on the lead) and to my surprise Milo had a lovely sniff with the dog before the owner was able to run over and convince his dog to leave with him. So we're slowly turning a corner!

Ah well done both of you the feeling of relief when you think "oh god, this isn't going to go well" and then they surprise you and behave impeccably is amazing isn't it? Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys!! I have even more good news!!! Today i was walking Milo and a puppy came running over, i told the two lads that Milo didn't always like dogs and they completely understood and put the puppy back on the lead, they then told me there puppy sometimes reacts badly to dogs too and asked (since Milo and the puppy were being fine in each others company) if we could see how they were with each other, so i gladly went along and both dogs behaved perfectly! Milo was wagging his tail like a mad man too After about 5 mins of the dogs sniffing and socializing the lads said goodbye, thankyou and left, i love it when you come across good dog owners- especially when they help you out as well as teaching there own dogs!!!! Very happy!!!!

gladys Thankyou so much!! Pawsforthought Yeah, a while ago on a walk he randomly bit another dog, Milo had just been neutered and the dog was poking his nose in that area, since then he hasn't been the same with dogs and hasn't tolerated them very well- plus he's been attacked more than once so he doesn't really associate dogs with good things!! But we have been working hard and he's starting to be friendly towards dogs and he's even started showing signs that he wants to play!!!! I'm VERY proud Thankyou so much!!!!

Earl was like that when a dog snapped at him, and he has been 'funny' with dogs like Border Collies ever since. Luckily we have managed to start and break him out of it over time though

I have even more good news!!! Today while walking on a field (Milo was off lead, no dogs where about at the time) these two ridgebacks ran over from no where!! One dog came running over and sniffed with Milo, it then gestured for him to play, to my surprise Milo went along with the dog to play!! At this point my heart was in my mouth and i thought it was going to go horrible, Milo went off chasing the dog, they stopped had a sniff then bolted off playing again, Milo started barking at the dog as they where running (he's done this since a puppy, he barks at other dogs who are faster when he can't catch up ). The dogs came over by me so i put Milo on the lead and was walking away when the second dog ran over and started sniffing Milo, once again Milo was great and just let the dog, the ridgebacks then ran off (they had gotten out the house when the owner opened the gate and the owner was chasing them). I'm very happy with him!!!
