Right, just wanted to ask. Has anyone used Verm-X herbal worming stuff and was it successful? Would you recommend it? We are considering it for our dogs. If anyone has heard of/used any other herbal de-wormers then I'd also love to hear about that too! P.S. Sorry if I have asked this before.

I use Verm-X for my two, mainly because I believe it is effective against lungworm too and both of my two eat a lot of grass that has probably been snail slimed! I do, however, also use a conventional wormer (Panacur granules) every so often too just to make sure they're fully covered.
I don't know that I can say whether it's been successful or not, but neither of my two have had worms in between Panacur treatments.

I know orpheous uses the biscuits, has anyone used the liquid Verm-x which is done for 3 days once a month? I was thinking liquid may be a good option for my furry monsters (biscuits end up a bit ££ with my two who would need total of 8 biscuits a day between them!!)

Hi I don't use conventional wormers for my dogs. I have never used Verm-x but have heard a lot of positive recommendations. Personally I use garlic for internal parasites and wouldn't use conventional wormers until it was neccessary. If you wish to go down the 'natural' route and want assurance it's working, you could request a worm count, they also check for lungworm. www.wormcount.com/

Thanks orpheous87, caz2golden and gypsy for your replies. I think Verm-X sounds pretty good so I might give it a go. The liquid would probably work best seeing as Amber would need quite a few of the biscuits daily!!! I had heard of wormcount.com, sounds like a good idea, I think my Mum would go for the herbal stuff if we could then know it was "effective" So I might just go and order some Verm-X now.

BorderTerrier Amber would get through three tubs of crunchies a month without even thinking about Holly or Wilson!!! So I think the liquid might be better, would last longer and also I'd probably forget to give them the crunchies every day, knowing me so it would be easier with the liquid. My Itchy Dog will deliver here. So I think I'll order from them.

AnnaAmber, let us know what you think of the liquid. I've never used that one, but it might work better than the crunchies. I only give my girls 2 biscuits a day with their meal but I think I should probably be giving them 3 each based on their weight.

we are going to be ordering some of the verm-x stuff soon as barley has only got one worming tablet left and we will also be ordering some herbal flea stuff for when he moves fully on to raw. We would be using the verm-x liquid stuff.
