Help! My year old ragdoll won't poo in her litter tray. She never has and it's now got to the point where my husband wants to rehome her. She has no issue weeing in the litter tray. I have tried various trays eg hooded and open and have tried every kind of litter on the market. I've asked the vet and they don't have any answers either. I don't know what else to do!

Hi, how old is your cat? I know it is really frustrating and cats are normaly very good at using their litter trays. Is your litter tray near to the outside door, if you could manage to watch your cat for any signs of it wanting to toilet i would try and grab it and place it into the litter tray, it seems to be a bit more tricky training cats because they can vert stuborn and they have their own minds, not really sure what you could do other than being a little patient, hope the others can advice you it would be a real shame to have the cat rehomed.
Good Luck

How many litter trays do you have? Some cats do not like to use the same tray for poo as wee.

My cat is a year old. I also have an outdoor cat but have three litter trays. One for each cat plus an extra one as recommended.

Does she always use the same place(s) for pooing?
If so have you thoroughly cleaned them with a stain & odour removing product. As smells although removed from our noses are still present for cats.
