See I'm not wanting the pre-packaged stuff, it just works out a bit too expensive when there's so many large mouths!
i think I have found a company who do a set delivery price of £10 no matter how much I order, so I've emailed to check that applies to little old me up here too. Fingers crossed!

Unless you do not wish to do so, you could always invest in Raw DIY. This way you wouldn't have to trust commercial food such as Natural Instinct etc. You could, as the name suggests, Do It Yourself, how you want it. This way you are MORE aware of what your dogs are consuming, because you have 'mothered the ingredients into the dog bowl'.

Sarah...I am a member on that FB page too.
I assume you are in Scotland?..and by the prices you quoted are you going to use West Fife Raw foods?
West Fife seem a bit expensive, there are other suppliers such as Dundee Pet Foods, Nisbet Pet Foods too that deliver in Scotland and there foods are of ok quality and cheap enough with good enough availability.
I use Manifold Valley Meats as they are competatively priced and deliver to Edinburgh good quality products.
If you need any help with the raw feeding I am sure there will be somebody to help on A.R.S.E.

West Fife can't deliver, nor can Dundee PF, plus I've heard of their pet food being sloppy. I'm going to use Nisbets, even thought their delivery is quite high, at least they DO deliver. The main foods I'm going to be using will be chicken, anything I buy from Nisbets is going to be variants.
I can get whole salmon locally for £16 a fish, and they are huge, so that's something else for variation.

Sarah, Dundee and Nisbets use the same supplier so effectively it will be the same foods you get....I did not find Dundee PF sloppy (not sure what people were buying that was) but I did find that things like pheasant mince etc was just really legs! and nowt much else!
Do Durham Animal Feeds deliver that far up?.....if so DAF are fairly cheap, good variety but I found quality could be inconsistent.

That's the jist I got on a forum. DAF looked great, and cheap but they don't deliver. To be honest, I'm really tempted not to bother with raw anymore. It's so deflating trying to get it all right!

No Dundee PF get their food from a guy called (I think) calum Campbell from Cumnock and I suspect Nisbet's is either Calum's own company or somebody who also supplies his food but I can assure you they are from the same supplier and not DAF. Do not get disheartened you will find somebody who will supply...eventually ...surely you must have a friendly farmer out your way and lots of roadkill....at least it is a start LOL

SarahHound I found this on the DAF website when I was looking to see if they had chicken necks in stock: www.fifeanimalfeed.co.uk - They're a supplier of DAF products and they say on their website that they have a frozen courier van to deliver all over Scotland - even the further afield areas of north Scotland. The prices are the same as on the DAF site too, so they're not adding anything to them
