I rescued a bundle of frogspawn from my fish pond when I first noticed it, because our fish would have eaten them otherwise. I was just wondering at what point in their growth I should release them from the tank? They can't stay in the tank until they are fully grown frogs, surely...
Any advice would be great, Thanks

If i was you BorderTerrier I'd find a local pond and release them. We have tadpoles in our pond, they're ok there as we don't have fish but we do have frogs living in it. If you don't release them back to the wild you'll have little baby frogs all over the place. believe me when they get big enough to get out of the pond I find them all over the garden and have to keep a close eye on the cats with them....Jasper hasn't come across frogs yet. lol

He has simply given a sniff and turned his nose up - remember that frogs give off a smell that turns animals like dogs away? This is a way of the frogs protecting themselves. Even though this is the case, I am sure Earl would get a bit overwhelmed if there were loads of frogs everywhere in the garden! My dad was saying we might put the tank that the Tadpoles are currently in next to our fish pond when they grow into bigger frogs because then they will be able to get to the pond. Our Pond Fish do not eat frogs, just tadpoles. If thy are all out at the same time and hopping around, Earl might feel a little puzzled. That is why we still have to consider our actions and do so wisely so we have the very best for all our pets.
