Those cages look cool but they are just so impractical, and imagine cleaning it !
On the subject of hamsters, does anybody know of a way to keep Nibbles teeth down. I've given her salt and mineral blocks, apple sticks, even dry cat food, but she isn't interested in anything. At least she doesn't chew up the bars like Munchy did.

Hamsters teeth shouldn't grow too long, wood chews or dog biscuits can help if they are getting a bit on the long side I give mine a Bonio each week.

I'll try a new stick and some more cat food tomorrow, I kinda gave up when they never took to it,maybe a bit of hone on it would make it taste nice, but I doubt it will work. She's walking fine, a bit wobbly though.

Glad to hear she's walking fine, even if a bit wobbly

Poor Nibbles, that must be terribly sore, agony in fact.
The vet would be my first recommendation, of course.

Well if it was she showed no sign of it, she didn't bite me or the vet, which is surprising given her name.

Yes it was the fluffy stuff but I can definitely say I won't be using that again, looks like tissue from here on out. She got the leg taken off, it cut right off, so now she has 3 1/2. We brought Mrs.Woman along too and the vet said that she isn't ready yet and it might be a couple of weeks yet. So she must have gotten pregnant right when we started caring for her. Glad Nibbles got her leg sorted. And you have a better idea when the kittens will come. How's everyone doing now?
