Helloooo I thought people might be interested to see the difference in Amber, two months into raw. After getting lots of Raw Meaty Bones, her teeth are now gleaming: Results of a Raw Diet by anna-amber, on Flickr Results of a Raw Diet by anna-amber, on Flickr And her overall body condition - you can tell the difference better from feeling her to be honest though (weighs in at 42 kg, you can feel her ribs well, and has a "tuck" from above, it's all muscle no fat too) Results of a Raw Diet by anna-amber, on Flickr Her poops are now firm - used to have some issues there (decided I'd spare you that photo!!) She is also so much happier and healthier overall. So, her Raw Diet is going really well and making a very positive difference.

Urghhhh!!!! I'm so jealous of you right now! What can't Oscar's teeth look like that!?!? And no doubt after 2 weeks on grain filled crappy (in my eyes) kibble they are going to be a lot worse! I think I must give the wrong bones..... And her coat is amazing!!! Look at the shine! God Oscar, why are you white, you can't have a shiny white! If I'm honest there is really very little difference between kibble fed Oscar and raw fed Oscar and it's been nearly a year now! Now your pups will be raw fed too! Right, that's it, where do you live, I'm coming to find you and I'm bringing my stuff and my dog! (you may need a spare room, but I'm not fussy, under the stairs will do (I'll be like Harry Potter))

Whilst not doubting the benefits of raw feeding, as a photographer I would have thought that the white balance of the camera was set completely differently for the before and after dental photographs, judging from the dramatic differences in gums, mouth flesh, and tongue. But then I was ever the cynic!!!

CS I would say that the before = indoor pictures / low light conditions whereas after are outside / good lighting. I agree white balance is different but does that matter?
I think it is clear that there is less tartar now than there was!

Amber looks fantastic! Yes, as CS said, the lighting/colouring of the photos of her teeth is different, but I still think I can see a difference in the before and after photos! I couldn't get any decent photos of my girls' teeth except their canines

I think it is clear that there is less tartar now than there was! But not as spectacular a result as is implied! When I first saw these pics it made me think of a grotesque advert for (human) tooth whitener that was common decades ago when the 'before' pic was hideous and made you want to vomit, obviously taken under tungsten lighting (probably with a daylight film), underexposed for maximum effect. The 'after' pic showed a really dramatic improvement, obviously brightly lit with flash, slightly over-exposed to maximise the whiteness, and suggesting miraculous results for the product. The effects were very similar to those on this thread. (I would say that the advert was from the days before outfits like the Advertising Standards Authority put a stop to such practices!!) I greatly admire AnnaAmber's skill at getting these photo's of Amber's open mouth in close-up. I wouldn't like to try it with Bryn!

Sorry about the difference, it wasn't on purpose. I had to take it on a phone because my camera was broken at the time and these were the only photos I had of her teeth before raw. I would have had them the same otherwise. I think you can still see the difference though

Unfortunately we live in a bungalow So there's no stairs for you to sleep under otherwise we'd have considered it (And all the bedrooms are already taken too )

That's a great difference AnnaAmber! Well done! There is such a dramatic difference there, even if the light is different!
