We use cellotape wrapped round our hand the wrong way. We also have a clothes brush which is like a roll of cellotape on a brush .... sort of.
I try to avoid wearing black cotton as it does attract the cat hairs muchly.

Can anyone recommend a brilliant must have comb/brush for short but very hairy cats and long haired too? I just have a normal comb with small gaps between teeth one side and larger gaps the other but was thinking I need something that would work as well as say the dog FURminator, as an example?? Its not quite a brush but I've heard that the Zoom Groom works well for both long & short hair, not tried it myself - all ours are short haired. Just google that & you'll find a number of places that sell it & reviews.

Luckily for me my favourite colour to wear is black and most of my t-shirts are cotton Our house is covered in cat fur with 7 cats and 5 of them being long haired! Yes, I use cellotape too Sharon! We have a clothes brush that picks up the cat hairs and then you brush the other way to get the fur off. I use it on the furniture, curtains and carpet. Unfortunately I also wear a lot of black and I am always covered in cat fur - I fight a loosing battle every morning to try and get the fur off my clothes before I go out.

Bonnie loves the zoom groom shell come and lie on my knee and look at it!!!! Shen then digs her little claws into my knee cos its just so good she doesn't want to fall off!!!!! lol Amazingly though in summer when I have shorts on shell lie next to me to be brushed cos she doesn't want to hurt me. She just doesn't realise that her claws go through my jeans.

The clothes brush you have sounds like the thing we have. I'm just glad we don't have any carpet, wood and tiles all the way !

Thanks spider Yeah I had heard mix views on the furminator so Thanks for that. I may give that one a miss and try the Zoom groom. tonib Is this the one --> tinyurl.com/mczwu2c Yes gladys that's the one. Strangely enough I was looking for something completely different yesterday & found this supplier & they have it cheaper than any where I'd found so I've ordered one along with the product I was looking for purelypetsupplies.com/?product=kong-zoom-groom-cat-grooming-brush-various-coloursThere is a delivery charge of £2.95 but you could add other things on to the order (as I have done) & not have to pay more & I thing its still cheaper with with the delivery charge. I think the heavy stuff is £5.88 instead. Its a new company (nothing to do with me) & I had a couple of minor hiccups with their website which have been fixed - trust me to find the products that had a hitch!!! They were always very helpful on the phone (& glad I let them know of the problems). Not all items are cheaper but it might be worth a look.
