I'm currently looking into the vaccinations that Oscar has been getting every year for the past 3 years of his life but, it appears as if I'm hitting dead ends.
As a puppy he got the necessary vaccines using the Nobivac make. Since then he has been getting pfizer Vanguard Da2Pi and CPV-L and the Bordetella vaccine (this year is was Bronchi-Shield by pfizer, last year is was Nobivac KC)
I've been trying to find out how often pfizer recommend both vanguard vaccines to be given but the documents on their site have been pretty much useless.
I've managed to gather that the CPV-L vaccine is for parvovirus. According to their vaccine document they recommend annual vaccination but the vaccine itself lasts at least 4 years. I'll be having a chat to the vet about that.
However, I can't seem to find any info on the DA2Pi vaccine (the 2 goes to the base of the A, but I can't do that on a Laptop). I thought I may be for distemper but I've read that giving this annually is unnecessary. I'm not 100% certain that this is the vaccine for distemper.
Does anybody have any useful information regarding vaccines, more specifically they Vanguard DA2Pi one?

Thanks Tonib.
Well now I'm even more confused!!!
According to what I have just read, the Vanguard 7 vaccine covers adenovirus, parvovirus, distemper and parainfluenzavirus. But it is given in conjunction with the CPV-L.
So basically, both vaccines have to be given together and are multi-purpose. The makers say annual vaccination after the puppy vaccines, but they last a minimum of 4 years.
Oscar is off to the kennels tonight, so I will ask them what they think.
