Hi my name is Emma, I have a training session this evening, should I go ahead with it, as this is the first heat for my dog. Also it is a private lesson. Any advice would be great!

Hi welcome to the forum. I would talk to it with your instructor, as he/she will know what sort of things you will be doing this evening. Maybe go to it, and have a chat then.

Welcome If your dog is on heat I would check with your trainer and if it's ok with them maybe take the dog (if there wont be lots of males around). If not see if you can go along yourself without your dog so you can still benefit from the session. At my training classes if your dog is on heat you are asked to come along without the dog

Some trainers relish the chance to have a female in heat there to practice with male dogs while a HUGE distraction is there
Some trainers don't allow it
You'll have to get in contact and ask.

Thanks for your replies, my instructor says, yes to go ahead with the training. As we train outside, we can go to a more remote place to train, not to many interuptions.
