OK so tracker no.2 in 8 days lost with one exception ... I found it all smashed along with his collar on the road . I got a call from a worried owners Mum as she also tracks him but lives 30 odd miles away. Misters tracker stopped tracking him at 3am . They knew where the tracker was but she was worried he had been hit by a car as he had not been seen since 3am today. I went hunting and calling as his favourite hunting ground is across the road from us .. the allotments. Called and there he was. I was walking Molly at the time , so he didnt greet me. Took Molly home 50 yards away. Came back and he responded to me.
Hes been here again tonight and left 30 mins ago. Hope hes not gone back to the allotments , its such a fast road he has to cross.
Oh... and ... I let him come in tonight , he didnt stay long , 10 mins ish , then he decided he wanted to go out again
Glad Mister Man was OK. Tracker no 2 lost but found smashed what happened to the other one? It should still be able to be found, at least so long as there is still charge in the battery, but the system or their support should be able to let them know where it was last recorded as being (or at least my brand does & it looks similar but seen a close enough image to tell for certain). Always worth trying to find it. The loss of collar & the smashing of the tracker could be 2 separate things, Collar came off for what ever reason & subsequently a vehicle ran over it.
I know that feeling of worry, the tracker staying in one place too long. I go searching & usually find the collar & tacker under a hedge (as was the case 2 days ago), up a tree (luckily able to be knocked out with a pole) or in a garden somewhere, luckily everyone has been reasonable & let me look in their gardens However whenever the collar comes off no way of tracking where the cat is. For me they've all come home eventually but I must admit 2 days ago Stevie didn't come home, or at least I didn't see him, at the time he normally does (I'd found the collar by than as according to the tracker he'd been in the same place for 3 hours or so I'd gone out for cat/collar & it was a an hour or more after his normal time that I saw him come over the fence. That was a relief.
Sounds like he prefers to out rather than in but appreciates the attention & comfort indoors for a short while.
As to the allotments & suspect they will be good hunting grounds for him.

Lovely photo by the way
The owner knows where it is but the charge has gone now , its somewehere in the neighbours garden apparently

when that happens I ask the householder/neighbour if I can go & search for the tracker & presumably collar which hopefully should help it be found
Happy days with
