Is a cute little Ginger cat who visted my garden 3 days ago. I was sitting here on my computer and out the corner of my eye something flashed past. Upon investigating it was a little ginger cat , who had dashed the full width of the garden in a flash.
I beckoned to him and he came running over ( no other cats have ever done that , they have ran a mile once seeing me appear ) he was meowing , and very playfull kept rolling over and looking for maybe ? tummy rubs ) he was wearing a collar and a tracker , hence me finding out his name
Tonight he appeared about an hour ago just before Dusk , I called him and he came running to me again. Oooo how lovely that he is trusting me. He was collarless and tracker less tonight thou. He stayed for about 20 mins , rolling about on the patio and the garden. Photos to follow

Sounds like you've got a new friend scallywag , One word of warning rolling on their back & exposing their stomach isn't a cat's request for tummy rubs, it can be but .... Some cats don't like tummy rubs & can let you know quite violently with their claws! This explains it quite well www.meowingtons.com/blogs/lolcats/why-do-cats-show-their-bellies-then-get-mad-when-you-pet-themMister Man is lovely a marbled(classic) tabby just like Shady. Osiris was a prime example of a Mackerel tabby which Roman was as well. OK purist will tell me that marbled isn't the correct term but I think its nicer than blotched!!!!! Interestingly all red/orange/ginger (whichever you call the colour) are tabbies as the gene that carries the tabby markings also carries the red colour. Hope the owner finds the collar & tracker and the cat!!! The funny looks I've had when I've asked house owners if I can look for a cats collar in their garden but they are usually understanding when I explain I've got the cat but the collar has the tracker which I would rather have back so I can find the cat in the future. Its rare that I have gone looking for a cat & only found the tracker (with or without collar) & had to wait for the cat to come home without knowing where he is or when he'll be home!!!! I've been spoilt since we've had trackers, but I was also younger & not on my own in pre tracker days!!

l remember being told that so l didnt attempt it 🙀 Tessa did and she got her face close to his . I was horrified she would do that on her first meeting. This was my 2nd .
I did wonder regards the tracker , l will look up the top of the garden in day light .

Hopefully the owner will be able to find it from the tracking software, scallywag, but a proactive search is a good idea. If you find the collar hopefully there will be a contact address/phone number on it. You never know Mister Man may visit you again, with his collar & tracker In which case a quick check, for future reference, of any contact info on the collar. I wish there was a way to train cats to bring their collars home if it falls off for any reason, if Shady can bring in his prey why not a collar!!!!

Yes his tag did have 2 phone numbers on it and also the name Mister Man which I presume is the cat and not the owners name .
Didnt think names were supposed to be put on the tags ? x

Cats are like dogs, in the respect that they know when they are welcome. By the way your garden looks lovely at dusk. And if that is you in the second picture, who took the photo?

Glad to hear Mister Man has been home & his servant has found the missing collar & tracker He definitely sounds a friendly cat & likes you. I always put the cat's name on one side of the tag & a phone number on the other side. Unlike dogs there is no legal requirement for cats to wear collars & tags hence no mandatory info either. Good idea to take a photo of the tag to record the info if you need it in the future. I wonder what Mister Man thought of a strange face near his?!!! He's obviously quite calm around humans & used to some of their strange (by cat standards)
