Good to hear Kiba-Khan is okay after his vet's visit. I do hope he will soon be much better. As I mentioned before the WD works for Molly and as it is dry, plus with all her meds she is on, she has plenty of her "fishy water" to wash it all down with.

Glad to hear the vet is happy that things are looking up for Kiba-Khan. I have a feeling he won't enjoy his kibble quite so much with water on but if it improves the constipation then it's worth it. I was going to suggest the fishy water Andrena suggested on the old YC forum, but she beat me to it

That's good news. Hope he takes his dry food with water. Perhaps he feels that he needs it.

That's good news. Hope he takes his dry food with water. Perhaps he feels that he needs it. He really loves his dried food and eats it in large amounts - I put some in water last night for him to try and he wouldn't eat it! I will try him again after. He ate lots of wet food last night and again this morning and he has been drinking. I'm going to try some of Molly's famous 'fishy water' on the biscuits and see if that tempts him. I am afraid to let him eat large amounts of the kibbles again as he almost swallows them whole without crunching them. I will have to give them to the other cats when he is in another room. Poor Kiba-Khan has suffered with constipation since he was a kitten; when I collected him his tummy was like a football! He is looking much happier now and is purring a lot but weighs a good bit lighter!

Jenny, I think the attraction of the dry kibble is the texture & crunch. Roman loves it & you can hear the crunching.
Perhaps giving him some dry, but not the usual amount, as a treat after eating wet food, so that it will mix with the wet in the stomach. With the wet food at almost the full amount for his weight (or desired weight) this might also encourage him to eat the wet food.

Good to hear Kiba-Khan is feeling a lot better after his bout of constipation. Even if he did have a smelly bum, bless him. Give him a hug from me. My Ted won't eat the Maine Coon dry food, only the Digestive and touch wood he has been fine on them. He does drink a lot of water though. He lies with his head resting on the side of the bowl, his back legs in the air and laps the water into the side of his mouth. Will have to try and make a video of him. June.x.
