I though we were going to have to have Kobi put to sleep yesterday. First of all he was sat near the window in the light and I noticed that his one pupil was small and the other one large. My son had just gone after his Mother's Day visit and Kobi started to veer to the side when he walked. He went into the kitchen and was sick over the rug. He then went outside and couldn't walk in a straight line. When he came back in I noticed that his eyes were going back and fore very fast. This is a doggy stroke, Taz's mum had one, but she recovered. Taz had one and sort of recovered and then he had another and was pts. Kobi lay on the sofa for an hour or two and then his eyes were ok. It was scary. He slept all night is fine this morning and eating well.

Omg poor kobi and poor you ๐I bet you were really worried ๐ง. I had a similar thing with Riley a few months ago , I think i mentioned it to you lotsofcats - I had just arrived home from work and he and Elsa went crazy and then Riley followed me into the kitchen walking with his head on one side and his eye started rolling, and he was crying ,I sat with him to calm him down and he was ok. I think what happened was he may have banged heads with Elsa when they were going crazy greeting me but at the time I thought he was having a stroke , it was so scary and very frightening . How has kobi been today ? Is he ok . X

He's been fine today and very loving (not usual for him). He's eating well. Both his pupils are now the same. I know exactly how you must have felt with Riley chantel. It is frightening.

Morning Jenny , hoping everything is still stable ? ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ Yes, he's fine and eating well. Trouble is it could be a warning one and he will get another - not soon I hope.

Just keep an eye on him and any signs just see your vet , that's all we can do with our golden oldies ๐ฅฐ. I would have taken Riley for a check up after his funny doo but I think it was a head clash or he could have banged his head on the door after spinning around .just keep your eye on him. They both had their 6 month health check and all went well.

Sorry to hear this about your Kobi, such a worry. Hope heโs doing ok for now xxx Yes, he's fine for now thanks. I don't think there's much that a vet could do if he has another episode, given his age. He's 14 years and 2 months.

Bless him , I do love our golden oldies, but I just worry a little bit more . I worry a lot about Riley now he is 11,but he had his health check last Saturday and the vet was really pleased with him , although I have noticed him slowing down over the last 6 months. But then some days heโs like a puppy chasing Elsa around ๐

Sorry to hear about Kobi lotsofcats! Glad he seems to have recovered okay. I don't know a lot about things like this, but could it have been a vestibular attack rather than a stroke? The symptoms are very similar, from what I've read but vestibular disease is more treatable and dogs tend to recover quicker than from a stroke.
