Oh she's beautiful. I love Siamese cats. What beautiful kitten. Siamese markings scallywag, but possibly a Birman or even a Ragdoll. I think a Ragdoll lotsofcats, cazypops. I'll have to refresh my memory which was telling me Ragdoll but Birman is definitely an option by looks. Don't think the Siamese have fluffy fur even as a kitten. Ajax already has a Siamese (Lola) & a BSH/Ragdoll cross (Geoffrey) the latter (a smoke) looks slightly more BSH than Ragdoll though. |

Siamese markings cazypops, but possibly a Birman or even a Ragdoll. It was also the blue eyes that made me think Diameters. 😄l , I've never having had kittens but I seem to remember reading that the stat out with blue eyes & then they change to the permanent colour but not sure at what age, lotsofcats will be able to confirm or not  Betty was only just old enough to leave mum when that photo was taken. The first thing I noticed were her claws! Do all cats have talons like that? , they certainly can be & kittens are needle fine & sharp! Mind you so are Lexie's & she 13.5/14 years old. Osiris's were more like eagle talons, wide & thick at the base & never go too fine at the end. Roman's were more like a dog's same thickness all the way but with a sharp point. Both Roman & Osiris rarely needed claws trimming as they wore them down out & about but Lexie's do need clipping every so often, something she doesn't like & I'm not very good at! Stevie's are quite fine at the end & Shady won't let me touch his paws!!! |

Kittens eyes do start off blue, but if they are going to change, they start quite early on, from 5 weeks. Betty's eyes will stay blue tonib and cazypops. I expect she was 8 weeks, or even more if she is a pedigree, when Ajax had her. With a kitten meandmine, they tend not to have much control over putting their claws away until they get a bit older. They do look lethal! I'm no good at clipping cats' claws tonib. When I used to show Blackberry I took her to the vets to have them done before a show. The last time I took her, the silly veterinary nurse missed the ones on her 'thumbs' and I had to do them. Willow has lethal claws and is always scratching me. I was picking her up on Sunday to take her out to the cat pen when a noise on the tv made her struggle - I have 2 scratches on each arm and she dug her back claw in so hard on my right arm that I have a bruise the size of a 10p piece to go with it. |

Well I was wrong! Betty's mum was a colourpoint Persian & dad a local tomcat Apparently she looks like a british shorthair! I just did a google search & found this article en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Himalayan_cat on the colourpoint Persian also known as the Himalayan. At the end of the article there a number of photos showing different colours & faces. Apparently they can be peke faced or doll faced so Betty has the doll face. According to the GCCF the Colourpoint Persian has the coat pattern and blue eye colour of the Siamese so well described cazypops & lotsofcats :0 |
