Today the forum lost another member & gained an angel as Osiris passed over to Rainbow Bridge this morning at about 10a.m. He came to us from the rescue on 20th March 2008 along with his previous housemate Penny. His birthday was 1st April 2006 (our April Fool  ) & he celebrated his 17th this year. He could be a loving cat but also difficult to handle on occasion as the vets can testify as can his nemesis Lexie, in his opinion she was 1 cat too many in the household since February 2012. He defended his territory from other local cats but would avoid a fight if at all possible tending to be vocal rather than starting a fight. Although visits to the vet with abscesses from cat fights showed he wouldn't back away from them. He loved the outdoors, that was his personal toilet but could use a litter tray, once we determined the right litter!!! Before this he would at least use the litter mat or the bath if caught short indoors  Over the last 6 months a vet he saw regularly over that period, fell in love with him, apparently he was always talking to the staff when he was kept in the for blood test, ultrasound etc. I am going to miss him sleeping on the bed with me, although over the last few weeks he's been sleeping on the floor at the foot of the bed. I was not appreciative of going to find him midnight+ when he hadn't come home but I suspect I am going to miss that as he'd always come when called (so long as I was close enough for him to hear!) RIP Osiris with us from October 20/3/2008-25/05/2022 Now well again with pals (old & new) waiting at Rainbow Bridge, especially Penny & Roman who'll perhaps introduce him to Chloe who left us before he came. |

Toni, I am so, so sorry to hear this sad news. We knew it was coming, but it came way too soon. He had the best life with you and you certainly gave him the very best food and love. Re-united with Roman and Penny and like you said, he'll get to meet Chloe too. I hope he'll see Kiba-Khan and Kai Ruki. R.I.P. gorgeous Osiris, we will miss hearing about you so much.

tonib I’m so saddened to be writing this message 😢I started it twice last night but I just didn’t know what to say to you and I’m still struggling 😢but like the others have said Osiris will be pain free and will have been met by all our beloved furbaby’s- I hope Sindy was waiting and if so give her a big kiss from me 😘 Sending hugs to you tonib 🤗you gave him an amazing life and your 2 newbie’s are very lucky to have you 😻they were definitely sent for you and they will help you get through this devastating time 💔xx

markb posted this on facebook. It was taken in 2016 when we went on a walk with Lexie & Roman on his harness (getting exercise after his cruciate op) I think it was a good choice of photo of Osiris.

Sorry I was able to post here on the 1st anniversary of your journey to Rainbow Bridge Osiris, I was recovering from an horrendous journey from Sussex to home the day before. However you weren't forgotten, I had plenty of memories of you to keep me company. I still can't believe it was just over a year ago (25th May) that you went to see the vet with every expectation of resolving your not eating so well but it wasn't to be.  You are definitely missed, despite the 2 new boys you met before you left us, the garden is no longer our undisputed territory as the neighbour's cat thinks he's entitled to have full access & attack them at the catflap! I hope Lexie found you, Roman, Penny & Chloe when she unexpectedly went to Rainbow Bridge earlier this year and that she isn't annoying you too much. I bet she's told you plenty of tales of this last year! Miss you boy, like all the other 4, you have left a hole in my heart & but the 15 years, of your 17, that you spent with us have provided a lot of lovely memories to help fill it a bit.
