Cia thank you for the card. It meant a lot. Also thanks to everyone else for your thoughts.
This is part of what I'm getting in memory of Alfie, It's a broom. I'd post a photo but can't get it to work unless I use photobucked. We nearly got a weeping willow but it grows up to 8ft and 8ft wide. Wouldn't fit in our garden. This will flower two shades of red. I want daffodil bulbs too and some fuchsias to go in our pot. I need Rich to make me a large wooden one. Today has been difficult and we've kept ourselves very busy in the garden. We've replaced the felt on the rabbits shed etc etc.
Home doesn't feel like home at the moment. Cats are being great and dogs couldn't understand why I was full on crying in the garden. I'm not a person to cry so Harvey had never seen it before. I feel lost and confused.
Alfie I wish you were still here my beautiful boy.

Never be ashamed to show your grief catsrkool , it's what shows how much our little fur babies meant to us. My Lucky has a new friend over the bridge, and they are playing now in the eternal sunshine, waiting for the day when we will join them. I found myself shedding a few tears the other day when I was looking through Lucky's pictures-and I will do so again in the future-remember the good times you had-and you will always feel the paw prints walking on your heart

Broom, daffodils & fuchsias are a lovely tribute to a handsome boy as they will flower at different times. What a great idea.
Don't worry about showing your emotions, you've lost a close member of your family. Are the cats & Harvey missing him?

Im so pleased it arrived today. I just wanted to let you know - we are all thinking of you so try not to feel too alone. Alfie's memorial sounds just perfect for such a handsome cat. A thought that gives me some comfort is knowing one can still love them even though they are no longer within in our sights. The part Jim added is like a wonderful blanket that one can take some comfort from. Hannah you will never forget Alfie - so worry not.

It's a lovely tribute Hannah, you must miss him lots. We never forget them no matter how long they have been gone, I still think of all the ones I have had ever since childhood. If you can cry and feel the need to then it is best to let it all out, I never cry, not even at the saddest times, sometimes I wish I could. Thinking of you at this sad time.x

thinking of you, we buried Conrad in the garden and spent days trying to find the perfect ornament, we did and put this on top of his grave then we put daffodils round it, it looks lovely, I still cry even now don't be ashamed of crying,
