Here's a pic of Ted from Sunday, sat on my son's lap. While we were eating our Sunday dinner I put him in a cat cage and he was quite well behaved - I think it helped that I was giving him bits of chicken off my dinner.  on Flickr |

Ted is in the vets for an operation today - he has a hernia that has to be operated on. I expect my son and his girlfriend will be worried all day long until they hear from the vet. I can't imagine Ted putting up with a cone of shame.

As my son approached the vets he could hear Ted barking and he went mad when the vet brought him out. His cone of shame was huge so they took it off him and put one of the collar type things on him. He's not a happy boy and won't eat much and at present is lying under the dining room table feeling very sorry for himself. They will have to not visit Ted's brother Bill, for a few days.

My son said Ted is getting better but still not back to normal yet. His wound is 4 inches long! No wonder he's feeling sorry for himself.

Aww bless him , how is he now ? I meant to phone my son and ask last night and I forgot. I know Ted had a check up at the vets yesterday. I'll ring my son this evening to see how Ted is. |

Happy 1st Birthday Ted! can't believe he is a year old already. He was a bit poorly last week, he had a bad tummy. My son slept on the sofa with Ted while his tummy was upset to give his girlfriend a peaceful night as she's recovering from an operation. My son said Ted wouldn't bark if he wanted to go out to have a poo, he would just hear his little feet padding about and he would go on the bathroom floor. Twice Ted stepped in it and had to have his feet washed. He was getting my son up every couple of hours - it would be the night before my son had to go back to work after looking after his girlfriend. Ted had to have some powder off the vet to go on his food and his diet was chicken and rice for a while. He got better in time for his birthday. Also, a Happy 1st Birthday to Bill, Ted's sibling.
