My mum wanted to know whether liver cake makes dog's poop runny? Could someone answer that?! Our BC Nell could not handle liver - it made her poop VERY runny, to the extent that we took her to the vet, not realizing what the problem was. The vet blamed some liver that Nell had eaten and told us that she had worked at a dog rescue centre in Cyprus and local butchers used to give food to the centre. On one day each week a certain butcher donated liver scraps - and this played havoc with lots of the dogs giving the staff a lot of unpleasant cleaning up to do! Having said that, lots of people feed liver to lots of dogs without problems!!! I assume you do not know if your dog is going to react badly to liver before you feed it. At least if this happens then you know never to feed liver again unless your stupid and want to risk a relapse!!! Thanks for the experience.

Oscar isn't keen on liver so I make fish cake instead of liver cake. Problem is I can't remember how I made it. It involved flour, tinned sardines and I think an egg(?) And it was microwaved, to my parents horror.

Nope, never made it. We will have to try it because I'm sure they would love it!!! All I've ever made for them is tuna and cheese biscuits Did they like them? Ae they natural and healthy and pretty simple to make? Yes, they loved them! They were so simple to make, just put some flour, egg, tuna and cheese, mixed it all up, put it in the oven and that was it. I sort of made up a recipe as I went along.

Boys loved it, just crumbled too much in my treat bag and didn't keep as well
