I can't believe it but my grumpy April Fool is 15 today.

Not sure if this next photo was him warming up his lethal weapon if I continued taking photos today

We got him from the rescue on 20th March 2008, just 11 days before his second birthday. He came into the rescue, along with his older housemate Penny, when their previous servant had to go into care. The rescue wanted to rehome the 2 together even though there was 7 years between them & there was no great bond between them. This relationship never changed. They both got on with Roman but Osiris has never liked Lexie since she joined us 4 years later & age hasn't mellowed his feelings about her! However the problems we had with Penny & Lexie meant we had a behaviourist consultation which highlighted we had 4 cats living in the same space rather than a family group. The same diagnosis still applies even though there are now only 3.
He's got a new collar & we're all going to have a treat tonight when I go & get fish & chips. I get a slightly reduced portion of fish (but all the batter, chips & peas) as the 3 cats get a share. I used to get another fish for the cats & they would have it over 2 days but as Roman is now on a controlled diet his treats are very limited so it would be wasted as he was the biggest eater of the cold cod! Osiris & Lexie prefer it warm!
He's getting a new catnip toy but it won't be his for long - Lexie will probably take it over as soon as she finds it! So he'll get it overnight as she sleeps in her own room, for Roman, Osiris & my peace. Osiris considers the night is his particular time as he shares my bed & Lexie would want to sleep there as well & ructions would occur! Roman prefers baskets, the floor or the sofa/conservatory chairs although will come on the bed for a hour or so each night whilst keeping a weather eye on Osiris!
