So.....as lots of you know, my little doglet was very poorly earlier this year with ( what we now know ) is IBD but since starting on a new diet is doing really well. She's always been deaf but never let that get in the way of what she wants to do. At the age of eleven she has arthritis, all sorts of lumps and bumps and was diagnosed with a heart murmur last November. When we do a longggg walk we take a dog buggy with us and she walks and rests as she feels like it. Yesterday we'd walked a couple of miles when she started to limp and couldn't/ wouldn't walk at all. Panic set in as we wondered what was wrong now🥴. When we got home we checked her over properly and found a chunk of boiled sweet stuck between her pads. Once removed she bounced off as happy as a puppy. Didn't know whether to laugh😂 or cry😭 with relief. Just wondering what she'll surprise us with next !

Thank you both. She's absolutely fine now that the offending article has been removed 😁. We do enjoy our walks and aim to do at least three or four miles a day. Just as a matter of interest we managed 130 miles in May and a total of 1200 miles + over the past twelve months. Not only is it good for the doglets, it helps to keep us humans fit.

Glad to hear your dog was OK meandmine but I can imagine the panic at the time. Oddly enough on Saturday I received my daily email digest from the cat CRF (kidney disease) forum & something of a similar nature was posted:-
