My big handsome boy is 13 today. For his birthday he has a new grey igloo bed with teddy bear ears on it. He also has treats to share with the others. He's not doing bad for a Maine Coon, the average lifespan is 10-13 years with some reaching 15 years. He's getting a bit slower now and sometimes when he jumps up to something he doesn't quite get there. on Flickr

As Kiba-Khan is getting a bit slower I bought some Glucosamine to put in his food and also put some in Kobi's. Kiba-Khan ate his food but Kobi was disgusted - he sniffed at it, backed away and went to lie in his bed. I had to throw the food away and mix some more for him.

Sorry I’m late to the party once again 😂happy belated birthday Kiba-Khan 🐱 He’s very handsome but can imagine he takes some grooming🐱 He is terrible to groom and is full of big knots. He will only let me brush him for a bit and then out come he claws. All the other cats are easy to keep well groomed.

lotsofcats, Typical the difficult cat is the one that needs the most grooming. When Osiris was getting mats he could lash out, but now the matting seems to have settled down he sees brushing as an incentive to eat, if he's not over keen on his food he goes to the table & waits for me to brush him (no claws) & then goes back to his food for more!!!
