I've been very into looking up famous (and not so famous) quotes lately. So much so that I thought it would make a nice thread. Its not got a huge purpose but I personally find some quotes inspiring and insightful. I'm going to try and post one or two a day, but others are more than welcome to join. Do try not to repeat quotes though if you can, we all have those 'I dont want to read all these replies' days though. " Many receive advice, only the wise profit from it" - Syrus
" Progess always involves risk, you can't steal second base and keep your foot on first" - Frederick Wilcox
" The philosophers have only interpreted the world ; the point is to change it." - Karl Marx

Lovely idea. This is something I saw years ago and it has been my motto ever since:
"The idea of always playing it safe, never venturing out of our comfort zone and refusing the broaden the boarders of our experience is stultifying" - unknown

βIf they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learnβ - O. Ivar Lovaas
I always keep this one in my head as I am wired very differently to most in the way I learn!!

I like this thread: in fact I saw an internet related quote in my ICT lesson today...
"The internet is a mindset in which people believe everything is free and freely available" (can't remember who its by).

" Genius is the ability to reduce the complicated to the simple" - C.W. Ceram
" Morality, like art, means drawing a line someplace" - Oscar Wilde
Might I also ask that this thread not turn into a conversation between people. I'd like to keep it for quotes only please.
Thank You.

" The internet is a mindset in which people believe everything is free and freely available" (can't remember who its by). That quote is so true - everyone thinks the internet is free when it isn't - someone somewhere is paying for everything that's there. Sorry a bit of a pet subject of mine & OH. My contribution:- A home without a cat, and a well-fed, well-petted and properly revered cat, may be a perfect home, perhaps; but how can it prove its title? Mark Twain
