Hello everyone, it’s been a long time since I posted here so I’m not sure if anyone will remember me, but hopefully some people do:)
Unfortunately, the post I came here to make isn’t a happy one. On Tuesday morning my beautiful boy, Scooby, passed away.
We found out at the beginning of August that he had an aggressive tumour on his leg. On Monday night he became upsettingly unwell very quickly, and was taken to the vet the next morning.
I first joined the forum 10 years ago when I first got Scooby, and it was where I documented his entire puppyhood and onward, and met some wonderful people, so it felt right to come and make a post for him here.
I hope you are all well x

It’s nice to have you back but certainly not in these circumstances. Once again I’m really sorry for your loss. R.I.P scooby you will be sadly missed x

Thank you everyone for the kind words. chantel yes it helps a lot to know he didn’t have to suffer, as sad as I may be I’m also glad it all happened quite quickly. lotsofcats you’re very right, it does help to have people who sympathise and understand. Having so many of my friends and family remember lovely things about him has helped ease the pain a bit tonib Thank you:) and I know, so sad that he was one day short of 10:( ahh yes, and was even allowed to sleep in my mum’s bedroom once I moved to uni! scallywag yes it was a wonderful 10 years, I couldn’t have asked for a better friend, so many fond memories. orpheous87 thank you Ziggy is still doing well, she was never happy about getting Scooby’s big slobbery tongue to the face but I’m sure she’ll miss him nonetheless. I know I don’t log in much anymore but I do think of you all, I’ll definitely try and pop in more often to at least read some posts and keep updated xx

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade. I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide! And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be! My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be, We are still connected by a cord no eye can see. So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart
