Me too it cant be nice for him going through all this all the time. He's recently had his blood pressure done and it's still sky high so they've upped his meds and he's recently had more bloods taken and the vet seems ok with the results. She wants him to have more bloods done in 3 months time but he's gotta have regular blood pressure checks which she's happy at once a month. We've actually managed to get the bloody mucus swab done and still waiting for the results, the snotty nose swab came out negative so that's good.

How's Alfie doing on the upped meds scruffsmaz & how were the bloody mucus swab results? The results came back saying he has an infection up his nose. He's already has one course of antibiotics but didn't do much for him. He's had 5 days of sneezing and really bad nose bleeds so now we've just had to buy a nebuliser for the next course of antibiotics and see how that goes. We've als8 had to up his blood pressure tablets as it's still too high and the trilostane is working but it will have to be upped once his nose is sorted. Alf is back in in feb for bloods to be done. It has to be done every 3 months to keep an eye on him. It seems it's just never ending but he is worth it. He turned 9 today and our vet has said he is very lucky to have us as other people would of given up on him years ago.

A belated Happy 9th Birthday Alfie. Good luck with the treatment. Thank u. It's not easy giving him his antibiotics with the nebuliser, he doesn't like it and we have to give it to him for 28 days, he keeps pulling away.

Happy belated 9th birthday Alfie. What a birthday present - antibiotics via nebuliser! I hope it works & so does the increased blood pressure meds dose I think I agree with your vet scruffsmaz.

We have said so many times how lucky alfie is. Nearly 5 years there has been constant problems and we've done and given him everything he needs. A couple of people have told me to let him go but I won't because he's not ready to and i won't give up on him till it is time he means too much to me.

You will definitely know when Alfie has had enough , he definitely will tell you in his own way . You are doing everything possible to give Alfie the best life you can. Most people would have given up on him a long time ago xx Hugs to you and Alfie ๐xx

Update....
Alf was back in at the vets on Wednesday and his vet has told us he is doing so well considering his hips and spine, she said his tramadol and boots are helping him so much.
He is back on the antibiotics through the nebuliser for another 28 days, he had a really bad night a couple of weeks ago with his nose we spend all night cleaning blood, my poor boy was so tired because of it but he's had nothing since.
He's back in on the 27th for another blood test for cushings as we can tell with him drinking, eating and his belly that dose he's on isn't enough.
I'm so pleased that his vet is happy with him, she is still shocked with his walking and jumping because he shouldn't be able to jump now and his walking shouldn't be as good as it is.
