I've just had my poor Tom at the vets today because on Sunday he was dragging his back leg a little but once he was inside he fell over a couple of times. The vet has told me he's got a water infection and his kidney isn't working properly, his liver hasn't been brilliant for years so now we have these problems with him and he has to go back on Friday morning.

Hi scruffsmaz sorry to hear about Tom. Hopefully the vets will have given him meds that will resolve the water infection. Did they say whether the kidney issues are due to the water infection?

Poor Tom. Has he been given antibiotics? Has he got to have tests on Friday?

He was given the antibiotics for the infection and we was told the fluids is to help his kidney. On Friday we don't know what's happening i get the horrible feeling I might be saying goodbye to my boy.
