That first picture of Suzi reminds me of another kitten pic I've seen, can't remember if it was on this or the previous forum, its not the dark nose but the rest & the pose that are niggling my memory. you'll have to post more pics to try & jog it further I think it's the photo of one of the 2 kittens that pixiepops fostered - July 6th thread "Cats in care - new additions to the foster family" but sadly they both died. I must admit I was thinking pixiepops lotsofcats, having looked at the thread you're right Well we have had another 2 little ones come into care. This is Oreo (dilute tortie male) and Cookie (tortie/white female). They are both approx. 4-5 weeks old and had been dumped in that cardboard box next to bins in a park If it wasnt for one of our fosters going for her morning jog god knows what would have happened to the wee souls! They were both shivering, wet and meowing like there was no tomorrow. Off to the vets on Monday for a check up and will take some more photos of them sorry @gillykat a slight thread hijack!

How are the little furballs doing @gillykat? Are they well enough to be wormed and flead yet? Glad you got to the bottom of the pic tonib.

I remember Oreo and Cookie.....they look VERY similar in age to my two Ninjas. Linda reckoned they were around six weeks old when the dog warden gave them to her on Thursday 16th so that would make them eight weeks tomorrow Personally I'm not so sure as they both still have turquoise-blue eyes which is the main thing that makes me think they're still very young....tho' they are VERY lively hence the Ninja Kittens nickname
Perhaps it's just their bad start (coming from an overcrowded druggie's house ) which has them so small....or perhaps they ARE the right size for their age, I don't know The last kitten I had any experience of was Lily and she was 11 weeks old when she came to me. They're eating & drinking water ok, Nigel has had nice firm poops for two days now and Suzi is getting there (little monkey pinched some Big Cat Food on Monday and gave herself diarrhoea again!) and they are both VERY lively, playful and vocal when they want something And Nigel especially has THE cutest rusty purr that reverberates around the living room.
Unfortunately they still have the occasional flea on them but I'm grabbing the parasitic critters as soon as I see them and flushing them down the sink. Worming will have to wait until they've been firm for a few days. I'm thinking of making an appointment with the vet for a check up and a chat as regards worming & fleas. I think once Neil wakes up today I'll nip around to the surgery to get a flea comb (tsk! How very lax of me to not already have one in my cat medical box! ). They ARE both putting on weight though which I'm pleased about and I've just had them on my baby scales. Do these figures look like a healthy weight gain? I've got them written in my diary (on their own page at the back so I can do quick comparisons and show vet if needed).

Oh they are getting more and more adorable by the day. They are doing so well - the Ninja kitties? love their nickname! My hubby has called my Blackberry and Willow 'the Pollies' (as in Pretty Polly!) since they were kittens. They look about 6 weeks old to me.

6 weeks is what I thought too! No wonder they've had d!cky tummies - they should still be getting fed by their mum They're on a completely bland freshly-cooked chicken diet with me and I think I'll get a small portion of white fish to try them on tomorrow.
Since I last posted a few minutes ago Nigel has gotten himself into the wars Suzi went into the litter tray next to my desk and did a almost-firm poop but still managed to get it on her hind legs so I quickly scooped her up and washed it off in the kitchen sink with warm water and a wet wipe. Nigel came into the kitchen a moment later and was limping!!!! I checked and squeezed both his front legs but he didn't wince or cry but was still reluctant to put ALL his weight on one. Silly boy has obviously woken up whilst I was busy with Suzi and jumped off the sofa (or climbed down) and possibly twisted his paw or landed awkwardly. I don't think it's broken or anything disastrously bad but, for now, I've put him back in the crate and he's fast asleep on his furry blankie next to his sister. Perhaps an hour or so's rest will ease any initial soreness and he'll be fine when he wakes....otherwise I'll phone the vet and take him up for a check.
That'll teach me to take my eyes off the little horror! Neil is a 'redhead' too and as a child, with a big curly ginger mop of hair, he was forever getting into all manner of scrapes and breaking bones......hopefully Nigel will NOT take after his dad!!!!

I hope that Nigel will be okay after a rest. He's a ginger, they are always in trouble and with Suzi being a naughty tortie, that's double the trouble for you!! enjoy it!!

Hope Nigel is Ok. Agree with Jenny about gingers always being in trouble. Roman's on his 2nd week of antibiotic eye drops & incarceration after having a closed eye which the vet found to have scratched cornea which was still slightly inflamed after 1 week.

Toffee is being naughty too - he keeps scratching at his wound by his ear - I just hope it doesn't get infected. I think he has wiped out the rat population as over the last couple of days he has started on the poor sparrows! He looks so pleased with himself running from next door (I wish she wouldn't put bird food out) carrying my present.

Chilli brought me a present at 2am this morning - one of the biggest fat voles I've ever seen! Perhaps she thought we needed a bigger portion seeing as we now have FOUR mouths to feed!
