Hi Guys/Girls; I don't know if anybody can help me out!!!!!! I have a chihuahua / Terrier Dog!!! Shes Gonna be 1yr On august the 2nd!! I am just super frustrated with her peeing.... Usually i tell her lets go pee and she meets me at the Door and yesterday i went and she peed all over my floor. I bring her out Often... I don't know what to do i gave her a gentle smack on her bum and told her u don't do PEE PEE In the house that's Bad!!!!!
Last night she woke me up crying at 415 so i got dressed and ready to pick her up she peed on the floor and went on my couch and peed there i was just super frustrated!!!
So i talked to my mom and had dogs with the problem she just said for the morning to just get dressed pick her up Dont do Any EYE Contact or talk to her til she gets outside and let her go her thing!! [ I LIVE ON THE 4TH FLOOR OF APARTMENT BUILDING SO we have to wait for a ELEVATOR! ]
I did that this morning No Piddling on or anything and i just brought her outside and she piddled a bit on my sweater.. i didn't make a Big deal!!!
I know i heard from People it can be Excitement Or Her Being Submissive!!!
But Keep in mind where i got her from she was abused by men!!!
Just Looking for Advice/Tips and this is my first dog i Got since I've been on my own!!
SOMEONE WITH A chihuahua would be Great so we can relate and maybe become friends seeing its my chihuahua i love her to death!!!!
Thank you Nat

Welcome to the forum Nat. I don't have a chihuahua but I do have a terrier. It must be very hard to toilet train when you live in flats. I think the best person to advise you on this is smilesbetter as this is what she had to do. But if it was me I would start to take her out once every hour at the same time every day and last thing at night before bedtime. When you take her out and she pees give her LOTS AND LOTS of loves and good girls, but if she does it indoors then totally ignore her, just clean it up (not with a bleach based cleaner though, maybe white vinegar and warm water) then carry on as if nothing has happened. I know it's frustrating, but just be patient with her, she'll get there eventually. Hope this helps, and if you need any more help or advice then we're all here to help. Even if you just need to have a rant.
