Having read a number of favourable comments elsewhere, I saw Applaws Nature's Calling on offer at out local PAH so decided to get 2 bags to try. They at least have a handle on them to carry it. Apparently made from the linings of walnut shells, well it certainly doesn't smell nasty. We've mixed some in with PAH clumping clay litter in one tray & no-one seems bothered by it. However I think it does walk more than the clay but possibly only closer to the tray. that could be due to using covered litter trays (no flap) which at least a couple of the cats have a tendency to jump out of rather than walk. With it still being mixed we're not taking the option to compost or flush which is possible with it. Not sure about using it permanently though. Interestingly just checked PAH website where although still listed is not available. Looks like they may be discontinuing it hence the low price.

I have now completely changed over from the Tigerino to Cat's Best Nature Gold and couldn't be more pleased. The Tigerino used to track everywhere and Calypso being long haired was the main culprit and so much seemed to get stuck to her. Now it all stays in the litter box with only a couple of pieces maybe coming out when they leave the box. BRILLIANT!! I have even stopped vacuuming everyday. (I had no choice before). Cats seem to be okay with it too.

Oh that sounds good puddycats, reduced vac'ing. From some photos on zooplus it looks closer to (non-clumping) wood pellet cat litter than the granuales of the clay or walnut clumping litter. Is that right? I just wonder as when we changed over it was one litter tray at a time but the wood pellet just didn't get used once the finer litter was available. Well except Osiris who still uses the 1 wood pellet tray left (for him) if he really has to as he prefers the outdoors!

However, this is smaller but you have to leave the pee for a while after the cat has been and it will clump and is easily removed but try to cleaned it out immediately after the cat has been and you are wasting your time.
