This morning when I went downstairs Bryn was standing looking towards his bed which is under the stairs, behind the sofa. He was obviously rather worried. So I had a look and it was obvious that he had been sick. Very little vomit as such but there was a complete fir-cone, about 4 cms long, in the small puddle of vomit. There was no evidence of chewing - it looked complete. Now the last time he was walked where there are fir-cones was the day before yesterday so the thing had been inside him for some time. He must have just swallowed it whole, without any chewing. We are very glad that he did vomit the thing up; I think there might have been scope for causing damage and/or a blockage. He does sometimes eat weird things: he used to like eating housebricks but that seems to have stopped. Thankfully.

Oh thank goodness he threw it up or that could have done some damage - hope he learns his lesson and never chews anything unsuitable again! (not that he'd really know)
