Me and my other half usually go away to a caravan with my two labs and have booked a house in north of Scotland for the 4 of us in September. We've done the same for years. We've been abroad for 4/5days last yr and yr before and my mum had my dogs and although I know they're fine with her I still phoned to check and she emailed me pics. Did mss my cuddles.
Currently looking for new places to go with them since the usual caravan won't b an option for much longer, gutted since it was surrounded in fields and perfect for walks

I try and avoid putting Tilly in kennels - She hasn't been in kennels for the last two or three years. Even when we had Winnie, she absolutely hated kennels, so putting her in on her own just wouldn't be fair on her. We go to places where there are lots of long walks and also to the beach a couple of times a year, which she loves.. not only that, it is more fun when she comes along too We go on small caravan sites, where there is usually just us there, so there isn't anything to bother her - We might be going away to stay in a cottage some time this year, and Tilly is coming with us bectil

I would never put my dogs in kennels, too many risks in my opinion and I would worry too much. My mam and dad are slit up and I usually go on holidays camping and stuff with my dad and brothers and step mam, etc and we take the dogs with us, we always have! We took our Akitas with us before they passed and now we take my Charlie and Roman and when we go to the lakes at windermere we take the dogs too. When we go abroad they stay with either my Nanna or my Uncle who has worked with dogs all his life! My cats stay with my Auntie, my ferrets stay with my uncle and my horses are visited and looked after every day by my mams best friend who I class an Auntie

Take the dog with us.
I always check out the accommodation and local area to see if they are really dog friendly which sadly most are not.
Would like to get a passport for the dog and then go abroad but we are still in a learning stage off her traveling strengths & weakness.

We take our 3 dogs with us, I wouldn't go if I couldn't take them!
