Hello there, I have a query about Crested Geckos... I got my first crestie, Gordon about 5 weeks ago and just wanted to ask about feeding. He's about 4 months old and quite lively, doesn't mind being handled but we tend not to disturb him too much.
He has Repashy crested gecko food with a dash of HIPP fruit baby puree (not the banana one) and a little water to make a mush with the consistency of a milk shake (this is what we were told to feed him). The quantity is about a third to half a teaspoon and the food is replaced every couple of days, as advised.
Now as far as we can tell, he is eating it, he is lively, looks happy and his tail fat reserves look good...but he doesn't seem to eat much so: should I reduce the quantity so that I can be sure he is actually eating?
Sorry if the question sounds daft, just want to be sure he's being properly cared for. Oh I should add: he's in an exo terra 45x45x60 viv and the heat and light are fine.

katkin are you feeding any live foods? what you're doing with the repashy mixture sounds spot on. I'm assuming you're putting this in his viv in the evenings? I personally would refresh this every day. you say heat and light... are you checking the humidity also?

His viv is around 70-75 degrees and the humidity is just over 70percent there's a heat pad with thermostat (the room is otherwise a bit too cool) and a trickle fountain plus lots of fake jungle plants oh and I mist twice a day and also provide fresh water daily and empty and clean his viv entirely once a week. I feed in the evening but will try daily food changes

Sounds like you're doing everything just fine
