up and ready to go, so whats to be done today ? Oh and best not to ask spider to Watch any pets today, or they may just get . And by the way, the old Man, I see you still allowing him to use the staff toilets at night . Shame he don't use it the way he should, caught him on camera last night, being his usual mischievous self Morning. I shut the shop up early yesterday and gave it a big clean, so no body put even a pinky finger print on ANYTHING!! All the animals have been cleaned out and brushed. Do not let them play in the mud or water!! And as for the homeless man and his dog, I got them both a room for the nights at the local church, so please direct him to St Michaels if he tries to sleep in the loo again. Ooh but I did say he could pop over for his lunch so whoever's off to Greggs or Maccy D's when his in the animal petting area (he loves rabbits) then please take money from the petty cash and get him something to eat and a nice big cuppa Tea. They are his favourite and I've been told by the church he will get fruit and veg at night so it wont hurt to feed him his favourite foods for lunch. Right back to work!! Boss.. phiney69 are you still allowing this ?...

Hello my lovelies we have missed you all! Well time for some news both good and bad... We'll start with the bad to get the depressing stuff out the way, that lovely little old lady that kept popping in to get kittys and cat food has sadly passed over rainbow bridge. She had a bad fall and broke her hip, a short stay in a not-so-great hospital meant she caught some nasty bugs and couldn't shake them off. The good news however is that she left in her will all her beloved cats and kittens (all 15 of them, crazy cat lady style!) to Spider for being so kind and helpful to her. She also left the shop a substantial amount in her will for making her feel so welcome and at home so a small xmas bonus for everyone and the rest to be spent on the new shop in Gladys' estate. Another stroke of luck is that it turns out the poor old gent hanging around the toilets is a distant relative of hers and he has dementia, he used to live in a house where the old shop was built decades ago and thinks it still exists so he keeps trying to come 'home', maybe we can make him an honorary caretaker who can come and visit us on his day release from the lovely local nursing home he is now in? scallywag He is still in the same lovely nursing home and (although he's still got most of his marbles - on a good day!) his body is sadly starting to fail him. He no longer makes it over to visit us and, since discovering his relationship link to our dear old lady who passed over the bridge when it was too late to re-unite them, we have been unable to locate any other family members. None have ever gone to visit him. We continue to make the effort in their place as he has sort of become an honourary member of our pet shop family like the old lady did before him. Occasionally someone takes the Pets As Therapy dogs over to the care home and we have visited them with some of the baby bunnies and kittens before. The old dears like getting some fluffy love.

Ok, so, as Spring has sprung and all that, I thought I'd better do a 'quick' (hahaha!) inventory update this past weekend so everyone involved in our 'little' shop (both old and new) knows what we already have. The things listed are in no order of preference and I think the staff are in alphabetical order so there should be no upsets or arguments. I know some people have shown lots of interest and helped out a lot e.g. tonib , scallywag etc. but don't worry, your names are not on the chart yet as you haven't requested any specific areas/things you would like to cover so I wasn't sure where you would prefer to go. Obviously, our shop has a decent sprinkling of magical dust in it's make-up, and is able to tick over nicely and safely when left unattended for any length of time. Naturally, there are times when real life matters mean we cannot visit for a while and then we all enjoy (most of the time, eh scallywag ?) helping out in each others areas and covering various shifts/chores that need doing etc until the relevant people are able to return.

And that's it so far, 'PHEW' I hear you all say! Apologies for the not so brilliant layout, I had it all done in a nicely laid out table but it wouldn't let me post it that way.

Nononono, of course not silly scallywag, who will help us to keep spider from hiding away with his kitties all the time? I didn't add you on the list as I wasn't sure what specific areas you fancied. I didn't think you'd like me putting 'Chief toilet cleaner and spider butt-kicker' = scallywag lol. You can do whatever you want from what we already have or add something new to our mad house, sure boss gladys won't mind. xxx
