Not good lotsofcats, my Toyota dealership cleans the car outside & vacuums/wipes the floor, seats & dash - as far as I can tell, whatever I take it in for (small niggle or main service) Mind you I've been to others that don't do any cleaning at all! Hope you get the service book sorted & that they did the right service.

I take my car to one of the local garages, and it never gets cleaned, but at least I can rely on them to do a good job mechanically.

They can't even get that right - it was sent to my husband! (he previously had his car serviced there). However, they managed to fill in both services, last year and this year's. No covering letter with it.

Kali tried to kill me on Saturday evening. I had just popped a Murray Mint sweet in my mouth and she suddenly jumped on my chest and made me swallow it whole!!

I have bird feeders (the half coconut shell type) on our cherry tree and they seem to be safe enough from Toffee. I have a greater spotted woodpecker that visits and on Sunday noticed that one of the blue tit mums has brought her 5 baby blue tits along -they are so cute and have little tufts on their heads. I can't wait to see the baby long tailed tits. On a sadder note, I looked out of the kitchen window on Sunday and spotted a sparrow on top of the cat pen roof. It wasn't moving and when I reached up for it I found it was a poor baby sparrow with a broken neck. I told my husband and he said he'd heard a thump a few minutes before and all the cats in the pen had looked up, but he couldn't see anything. Poor baby must have flown into an upstairs window and was killed instantly and fell back onto the edge of the cat pen roof. R.I.P. baby sparrow xx

We had a bird box with lots of activity last year , then it all stopped. When I took it down to clean out there was mum dad and 3 babies all in there. Have no idea why they died

We had a bird box too, until some wasps took it over, so had to get rid of it.

Sorry that I have not been on in ages. Been busy at work but thats no excuse. Had some lovely days away last week. Only in North Pembs so not far but change in scene did me good. Already sick of the wet, dull weather!
Other than a new lump on Gypsy (found while at vets yesterday) and Phoebe gaining a wart on her muzzle they are at least seemingly ok!

Mum and dad have bats. They counted over 90 leaving a tiny hole in the wooden fascia board at apex of roof.
They look quite big when you watch them!
Someone dad knows (even though they have not come to look) suspects that they are pipistrelles and that they are only there to breed so will disappear soon.

Anyone else noticed lack of swallows nesting this year? There are even less at work than there were last year.

We had baby great tits a few weeks ago https://www.instagram.com/p/Bxh5KpUhhmh We missed them fledging though We're assuming they all got off okay as we've seen no evidence of them having been caught by the cats. I love them. Pipistrelles are really tiny, but look much bigger when they fly. I love watching them. They must like your mum and dad's roof if there's a roost of over 90! I'm not sure on the only being there to breed thing though, they do roost in houses.
