I've just gone over £200... this is getting silly. I think I'm just spending money for the sake of spending money! I've committed to a trick training course too, which is going to cost me £70... madness! My dogs are definitely spoilt.

Haha, definitely puppypal! Although it would be nice if I could spoil them for a cheaper price! On the plus side, the leads arrived today and they're awesome.

Has anyone else been shocked by how much they have spent so far? I know I have a lot of animals, and I knew I spent a lot on them. I always guessed around £3000 a year in total.
Based on this month alone, it works out as around £11 per day, making £4015 per year.
This has absolutely floored me, especially as this month doesn't include any worming stuff, flea/tick stuff etc, all of which I had bought last month. It's been the wake up call I needed, I will NOT get anymore animals for a while. As some of you know, I have a bad problem with saying no to something homeless!

I have, definitely! Considering it's only two weeks into the month and I've already spent over £200. I honestly didn't think I spent that much on them! Although I have to say, most of the money has gone on food, which is kind of essential, a couple of the things we could have done without.
There'll be more going on them tomorrow no doubt since we're going to a show!

Doesn't surprise me at all. I'm always skint coz all my money goes on my car payments, Insurance, petrol and stuff for the dogs. I know I spend a stupid amount and I haven't updated in a few days

Interestingly we saved more than anticipated at PAH today. I had my VIP vouchers plus some from the magazine. What surprised me was the £3 off JWB 1.5Kg or over & 0.20 off 8x45g Felix Crispies. as there was an offer on 2 for £20 on the JWB I bought 2 and discovered that I got two £3 off & the Crispies was 20p off each so £1.60 not 20p as I thought. That was a nice saving of £4.40 I didn't expect We also made use of the £5 of an RSPCA Cat bed & got a donut which we'll either have for our cats or to give to the rescue. If we get vouchers at Tescos or Sainsburys for cat food we don't use then I tend to buy it (so long as its not too expensive) & give it to the rescue.

A little, but I have nothing else to really spend my money on and love going to dog shows and spoiling Bernie rotten. Interestingly we saved more than anticipated at PAH today. Glad to hear you're a member I hope everyone on the forum is to be honest. It's doing an awful lot for charities. I can't remember the latest figure given to charity but I know the club has over 1 million members now. I do know for a fact within the first 4 months of the vip card launching we signed up over 250 thousand people which generated 70 thousand for charity. I think with the vip card and the support adoption charity... it's going to hit over 2 million for charity this year (Yeah,I'm proud of where I work )

Same here PF, I don't drink or smoke, so I don't really have much else to spend the money on other than my animals and stamps for my penpalling. Well done on the VIP bits Toni! I've just sent my Mum off with my voucher today to my nearest store, I had the £10 off when you spend £50 voucher to use and I knew I wasn't going to get near the store before the end of August, so she's doing it for me. The dog food I buy has £7 off right now, so I've ordered that, 2 bags of hay, and 7 wooden toys for the little animals. £50 really doesn't go far But £10 off is too good to miss, and I'll keep those wooden things for their Christmas presents!

I actually don't shop at pets at home that much sorry petitsfilous used to spend a fortune in there but don't shop in there nearly as much as I used to, maybe only in once a month or less. The one by me went downhill but last time I went in it was getting better so need to go in again. Is about half hour away in opposite direction from work and I normally shop in local pet shops to I work, half hr in other direction lol. Or amazon, or shop at daycare/training or odd bit from cash and carry

Nope, me neither. I had a lady come in the other day with that voucher and her total came to £17 but she really wanted to use it so said 'bare with me a minute', came back 10 mins later with a trolley full that came to £70 I actually don't shop at pets at home that much sorry petitsfilous used to spend a fortune in there but don't shop in there nearly as much as I used to, maybe only in once a month or less. You get the good and the bad with everything unfortunately.

I knew the last manager in that store, his son played football with my nephew and store was run as well as he could run it but he left coz he felt stuck with no control or progression. Hopping the new changes will help this store

We do most of our cat food shopping elsewhere as its often quite a bit cheaper especially as we take opportunity of offers but we always get PAH litter. Last month didn't bother to use the £10 voucher as we didn't need litter. So saved the order to this month. The VIP magazine provided most of the vouchers I used so don't forget to pick that up if you are a member & check through. One of our local stores has the rescue we got 3 of our cats from as one of its VIP charities so guess which one I stated as being my normal store - even if I don't use it as often as another!
