Hi catttyGypsy is almost 15, she likes a bit of sun, but not too much. She likes to lie in sunny spots for a wee while. Her room is one that gets very little sun light (mostly late evening) so most of the day she spends sleeping in there and comes down the odd time for nose. When we had Lucky (16 when he left he us ) he would love being outside but in the shade, under bushes--or most times I would put the garden umbrella up and lie it on the grass and he would lie under that Both cats are black by the way

Mine are all lying out in it! Every so often they get up and go and lie under the car until they are cool again and then pop back into the sun for a bit

Molly (who celebrates her 18th birthday next week and to say I am excited is putting it mildly ) seems to just love the heat. On Weds. it was 32 here and I had all the windows wide open to create a breeze and she was avoiding them, preferring to lay in the sunshine. As if it wasn't hot enough, that night I woke up with a really warm feeling on my back ..... Molly . Maybe she liked the warmth on her bones as I know I do .....I have even been able to stop taking the strong pain killers I am on for my osteoarthritis as I am virtually pain free in this hot weather. So us two old girls certainly don't mind the heat at all. It makes us both feel good.

Mine seem to be ok, touch wood. Floyd - the 16 year old has always been a sun lover. The other 2 just lie in the shade or are indoors.

Our boys (7 & 8) are finding it too hot. Osiris is hiding in the hedgerows & Roman is sleeping most of the day in the summerhouse but does shift around sometime in the sun but mainly finding shade. Both of them are definitely more active at night, especially Roman. Lexie (4) is not quite so active as normal but is finding the shade outdoors. Penny (14), like Molly, is happily soaking up the heat, mainly in doors but has been out a few times when the others are about - an unusual occurrence! Think its helping her arthritis as she's also been coming downstairs & back up again a bit more.
@catty, glad to hear smarty is doing well, despite the heat, after her escape last year. We've had similar weather to you & broken04 as we're not to far away.

My two girls don't seem to be that bothered by it. Lots of sleeping going on, as normal. The only difference being my eldest cat Gerri is going out more. She doesn't go out much till the warmer weather gets here.

Sorry I tried to include a photo of him in my last post but I'm guessing this forum doesn't accept instagram photos because it doesn't seem to have worked Linzi www.happycatsitting.co.uk

Most of us use photobucket or flickr for our photos so no real experience of instagram. But we did have one member who tried to use it with no success. The only option I got (when I followed the link I found when I quoted your message) was embed which doesn't seem to work on this site (I tried it). If there are other choices to you as the owner, then you want the BBcode or Direct link option, if those choices are available then we should be able to help you post the photo in the post itself
