The three younger cats are treating the house as a hotel. They are out as soon as the flap unlocks at 6.30am (after breakfast of course) and don't come back until I buzz them at 8pm. On Saturday Alfie and Wilf didn't bother coming home at all. We knew they were in the woods, but couldn't catch them. Alfie came home about 9am the next day, but Wilf didn't return until 8pm roll call. When they do get in, its dinner and bed, I barely see them The only reason I know there's 4 of them is that the cat food is going down.

I know just what you mean.
Penny is home all the time but usually in our bedroom. Lexie comes & goes in the garden, upstairs in another room or after me for attention and in her room overnight. Roman is in the summer house & garden all day so here for his meals, then goodness knows where he goes overnight & then he's back in the morning - on our bedroom windowsill - to repeat the process. Osiris has breakfast goes out, with the occasional reappearance for a snack. Back for tea, then off again, back for a late snack, then out again but back in around 2 a.m. & stays in until breakfast.

In the warm weather Neo wants to be out but when he comes home (he is in next doors with the long grass) we lock him in for a good few hours so he goes to sleep. I've been putting ice cubes in his water fountain too.
