I had both my cats spayed and to-day I saw Scooby spraying for real, twice he did this, is this normal, can anyone advise ?

Cats can still spray even when neutered. Just less likely to. Even females can do something similar but rarely, I was really surprised when our spayed female cat first aimed her slightly raised rear-end at a plant & a jet of liquid hit the plant.
Both of our neutered boys spray ocasionally, usually a territory marking but can also be stress related.

Yes, some cats will still spray even once neutered sadly.

Frankie's neutured and still some times sprays in the garden; nothing to worry about

A barren patch in the grass under his favourite shady bush
