Tuesday 2 a.m. the distinctive cry of Osiris disturbed us & yes he'd brought a mouse in as a preent for us. Luckily for us (not the mouse) it was deceased, so easily caught by us & disposed of. Tuesday afternoon, Lexie was sitting on the back doorstep, watching Osiris have a bit more of his food (waiting her chance to get at it) & I noticed she seemed to be heaving & thought she was going to be sick. But no, false alarm. About 10 minutes later I went into the house & found that generous Lexie had left a present of a pile of dried food etc on the hall carpet. So kind of her not to leave it on the washable patio but on the carpet!! Definitely unwanted presents day

In this case the devil has delegated the work to the cats. Good pupils. Toni, I don't envy you.

Nice of Osiris to bring you a present - not sure about the timing though. It is strange that like Lexie most cats will be sick in the worst possible place.
Toffee presented Kiba-Khan with another present yesterday evening - another rat, but a live one this time - poor thing was running around the cat pen and Kiba-Khan would pick it up and it was squealing, then he put it down so it would run and he ran after it. Thankfully it ran out of the pen and hid in some flowers. I took Toffee in the house and hoped that the rat had the sense to disappear quickly.

Glad the rat ran out of the pen safely Jenny. Kiba Khan sounds like Osiris, he'll bring in live prey , put it down, watch it, catch it & repeat until bored (not long- he has a short attention span) when he just moves away & leaves it to its own devices (or ours!).

I'm afraid that it's looking distinctly discoloured in places from all the years...

tonib Glad I'm not the only one that has a cat who misses the easy clean area for the carpet. My youngest must sit on the tiled area by the fire place and throw up on the carpet?!?! Surely the other way round would be warmer on the bum?!?
