On Saturday evening I was just about to get the cats in from their pen. I looked out of the landing window and wondered why they looked very alert. I then spotted Kiba-Khan carrying something - it was a rat. I ran outside and Toffee sat by the pen looking very pleased with himself. I managed to get the other cats out one by one and when I went to get Kiba-Khan he dropped the rat, which was dead. I think Toffee must feel sorry for the cats in the pen so he gave them a present - he has given them a bird previously.

How generous of him- very sweet. Not so sweet for you to deal with though!

At least one thing in Kiba-Khan & Toffee favour is that you didn't have to deal with a live (sadly) or partially alive rat. Sounds like Toffee is still trying to ingratiate himself with the other cats

I would have panicked. Why not bring some flowers, Toffee?

what a lovely prezy a RAT omg still got to give credit toffee can hunt Yes, Toffee is a brilliant hunter - I suppose once a cat has been a stray and had to hunt for food they never stop doing it. Kali my nearly 3 year old mum of Blackberry and Willow was a stray when she was pregnant and even though she was only about 9 months old when she had her kittens she was a brilliant hunter. I let her out about once a week when Toffee is safely in the pen (otherwise he chases her) and she goes hunting - birds are her speciality. I wish they wouldn't catch poor little creatures. I shouldn't complain about Toffee as we had a terrible rat problem before he turned up in my garden.

Awww, that's nice of him , he likes to share even though not very nice for you to clean it up or for the poor rat etc to be caught.

Alfie brings home mice for Poppy. Not for much longer, she can work the cat flap now.

How lovely of Toffee not to be selfish and to think of others (Not nice at all for you though!)
