We had heavy rain in the night. I heard it when I got up and went downstairs and walked straight into some cat sick! with both feet - it was well spread out.

It's been a real mix of weather over the last few days. Dry & warm, dry & windy, showers, some heavy rain, blue skies, overcast. Not only that but it can be quite difference within a 20 mile radius of here. My friend Ajax has had heavy rain bouncing off the ground when we've been sweltering!

I don't know about your cats lotsofcats but both Osiris & Lexie are moulting well. Roman might be but doesn't seem to be shedding it visibly although his furball was a good solid cigar! Osiris is depositing his hair (dark) on the carpets (light) despite being groomed daily! Ajax's cats (except the Devon Rexes) are also moulting & bringing up furballs daily usually on the same rug!

Yes, tonib, I'm getting cigar sized fur balls most day. The moulting is easing off a bit and some of the cats are looking less fluffy, especially Blackberry and Willow - they look so kitten-like with their summer coat. Bramble is still super fluffy. I also keep getting fur over the carpet.

I would make more sense if the cats looked fluffy but they just look normal. I've no idea where all Osiris's fur is coming from considering the amount I brush out of him (especially with the Furminator!

My thoughts too - I brush so much off all the cats before I put them out in the pen that they should be bald by now. When I put Bramble into the pen she stops and expects me to smooth her before she moves and I give her a head to tip of her tail smooth and I get a pile of fur - after being brushed and brushed! I don't brush Toffee as he doesn't like it - I have to make do with sneaky smooths to get some fur off him. He might be short haired but his coat is very thick.

We had thunder and lightening and very heavy rain in the night. I'd left a cat litter tray outside and it was full of rainwater.
The weather is calm at the moment but we have horrible wet and windy weather forecast for later today and for tomorrow.

Rained overnight but was dry until about 13:30 when I'd just put my sandals on to go out but changed my mind when the rain came down It's stopped again now so may still go out in my sandals as its only to the supermarket so won't be in the rain long if I get caught & their petrol station is undercover, although I need to check my tyre pressures & that isn't covered Not looking forward to tomorrow though we've got a yellow warning for high winds & I'm taking Ajax & 2 of her cats to Chester Cat show, so will be driving a bit, part of the journey is over the Thelwall Viaduct (the long bridge over both the Mersey river & the Manchester Ship Canal. Very exposed & renowned for wind issues Glad I won't be in a high sided vehicle! Also that show is held very close to the centre of Chester so while the judging is going on we normally walk into Chester (5-10 minutes) and wander round some shops, Roman ruins, have some brunch, & 2 years they've had a reenactment on the day of the show so that's been interesting, not sure if on this Saturday. However if its very windy & also showery we won't be able to use umbrellas so full waterproofs maybe required! I may even put a change of trousers & shoes in the car!
