@dogiesrule28280 What's wrong with Harry styles autobiography & what posh books! Luckily I read the Harry Potter books before I saw the films. I remember back in my 6th form days having to read & discuss a book called "A Pattern of Islands" by Arthur Grimble. I hated it. However somewhere between 5-10 years later I read it again & thoroughly enjoyed it. The problem was that in the 6th form I wasn't allowed to just read it for the story but had to analyse what the writer meant. For me a book is all about the story, be it an autobiography or a fairy tale or anywhere in between (except textbooks which is not about stories but teaching a subject). Perhaps a bit shallow on my behalf but for me the primary role of a book is to entertain or educate not to be pulled apart. The only time I've really enjoyed working out what the author meant was studying philosophy at university & some of those books are meant to be pulled apart & discussed So long as you enjoy a book its a good book for you Because people think ugh bubblegum pop boyband music But hey it's a book! Most other teens don't even read!

I'm just going to ruin it here and say that I am reading Harry styles's autobiography Your all saying the names of these posh books! I tried the Harry potter books, but I've seen all the movies so I knew what would happen! If you get the chance you should really make an effort to read the HP books. They are just amazing in comparison, the films are not a patch on the books!

Sarahhound, I just found out a few days ago that my boyfriend had never hear of Carrie by Stephen King, OR Stephen King for that fact!? I've not read it yet but I thought everyone had at lease hear of it or Stephen King!? Not heard of Stephen King?? I'm in between books at the moments. Just finished "Cross country" by James Patterson and "The dog listener" by Jan Fennell .
I have loads of JP and SK books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. But think my next two books will be either the book on Patrick Swayze written by his wife or "If chins could kill" by the gorgeous Bruce Campbell (the king of B horrors)!! Are you reading this to be uplifted and offered guidance by the ghastly Ms Fennell? Or to find out what NOT to do with a dog? I felt that this book was not good for my blood pressure when I read it - possibly misguidedly but I was young and innocent then!

Well without wanting to sound big headed but I think I have Cooper figured out (most of the time) so I was just reading it because lots of people seem to have strong views on it and I wanted to see for myself. It also didn't cost me anything as it was just sitting on a friends bookshelf.

There's lots in the books that they missed out in the films too.
