Puppy pal, I share your pain. A lot of my reading list is heavy reading but so useful Sarahhound, I just found out a few days ago that my boyfriend had never hear of Carrie by Stephen King, OR Stephen King for that fact!? I've not read it yet but I thought everyone had at lease hear of it or Stephen King!? I'm reading A Prickly Affair by Hugh Warwick. It's all about hedgehogs. I do love hedgehogs

I'm reading It's raining men at the moment by Milly Johnson. I love the heartland books I have a few of them and some special ones but not all of them cause there are so many. I'm on catching fire from the hunger games series. Recently saw Under the dome I think it's good so far had no idea it was based off a book xD. charlottte Awesome! I love hedgehogs too .

I'm about halfway through A Storm of swords, book 2. I was reading it when I was babysitting on Friday and it got to a really good bit but I was so tired from the kids and horseriding, I fell asleep! Mam treated me too the next 3 books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series yesterday! They'll take me ages though when I go back to school. About 600 pages each.

I've not read it yet but I thought everyone had at lease hear of it or Stephen King!? Not heard of Stephen King?? I'm in between books at the moments. Just finished "Cross country" by James Patterson and "The dog listener" by Jan Fennell . I have loads of JP and SK books sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. But think my next two books will be either the book on Patrick Swayze written by his wife or "If chins could kill" by the gorgeous Bruce Campbell (the king of B horrors)!!

I know Gladys!? It only came about because we went to see Kick Ass 2 last week and I found out that the main actress is playing Carrie in the movie when it comes out. And he went 'what's Carrie?' -face palm- I'm not a fan of Jan Fennell. All the stuff I've read of hers vaguely translates to 'ignore your dog'

Just finished reading "The fault in our stars" by John Green such an amazing read and quite emotional at times but so good! 5 stars Love love love love love love love that book. I really need to get John Green's other books. I have a heart of stone and it made me bawl my eyes out and laugh on the same page! Do you watch his YouTube videos by any chance? Finished A storm of Swords on Sunday which I was very surprised by. I accidentally spilled coffee on one of the pages Started the next one in the series A Feast For Crows. gladys My mam loves James Patterson, she gets books from the public library but she's always getting ones she's already read because she forgets which ones she has, there's so many! She is currently reading Kill Alex Cross which is lying beside me.

Finished 2 books yesterday while cat sitting Roman - see another thread. They were both Kindle books Tales of the Furry Gang by Hannah Wilson ( catsrkool) It was an enjoyable read made extra special by knowing of most of the animals in it from this forum & the old YC one. Coming Home (the journey of two special cats by Jane Ayres A bit of a tear-jerker especially towards the end but still enjoyable.

I'm just going to ruin it here and say that I am reading Harry styles's autobiography Your all saying the names of these posh books! I tried the Harry potter books, but I've seen all the movies so I knew what would happen!

@dogiesrule28280 What's wrong with Harry styles autobiography & what posh books! Luckily I read the Harry Potter books before I saw the films. I remember back in my 6th form days having to read & discuss a book called "A Pattern of Islands" by Arthur Grimble. I hated it. However somewhere between 5-10 years later I read it again & thoroughly enjoyed it. The problem was that in the 6th form I wasn't allowed to just read it for the story but had to analyse what the writer meant. For me a book is all about the story, be it an autobiography or a fairy tale or anywhere in between (except textbooks which is not about stories but teaching a subject). Perhaps a bit shallow on my behalf but for me the primary role of a book is to entertain or educate not to be pulled apart. The only time I've really enjoyed working out what the author meant was studying philosophy at university & some of those books are meant to be pulled apart & discussed So long as you enjoy a book its a good book for you

Not really sure what to make of it. There were some points in it that made me go "Oh yeah ok" but other things just made me think "That wouldn't work with Cooper" or "I couldn't do that to him" (ignore for ages). My mam loves James Patterson, she gets books from the public library but she's always getting ones she's already read because she forgets which ones she has, there's so many! She is currently reading Kill Alex Cross which is lying beside me. Yeah I keep doing that with his books too. I did start writing them down but then I lost the list?!?
