The one and only, best piggy in the world, Gizmo, died in the early hours of this morning. We found Ringo cuddling up to his body when we went to give them breakfast. We knew it was coming sadly. He got an impaction, and then stopped eating, and although the vet helped him a bit, there wasn't much he could do. We chose to bring him home and let him spend whatever time he had left with his buddy Ringo. Gizmo was 6, we got him in 2007, just this tiny little fluffball. We had no idea then how much his hair was going to grow, we thought he was just scruffy! baby Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr baby Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr He turned into the friendliest, laid back guinea ever. Every piggy we've had has loved Gizmo, they all wanted to be friends, and he was also the most handsome. Anytime someone walked past the shed, he would squeak as loudly as he could in the hope he was going to get fed Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr Gizmo by Niseag, on Flickr Weedkilling by Niseag, on Flickr Gizmo all brushed and fluffed! by Niseag, on Flickr One of the last pics I took of him, a few days ago... RIP Gizmo.
Play happy & healthy again with Harris & other friends at Rainbow Bridge. Such alovely looking boy will be missed especially by your buddy Ringo & other friends.
Sarah so sorry to hear the news, you're not having a good time at the moment with your pets. Take care.

He was happy though.

Gone to Join Harris and young again SarahHoundPerhaps we shall not ever see your face, Or feel your nose twitch in place, And maybe you will not again wheek, Or drink or sleep or play or eat, But you will live on here for an eternity, Because you meant so much to me. R.I.P Gizmo
