It’s really hard I know but try and think of the good times with him not the sad ones 🥰it took me a very long time when I lost my girl 🥲I used to drive to work and by the time I got there I had tears just rolling down my face 😢I had to take some time to compose myself before going into work. I have the odd moments still now and Riley is 9 😢it’s still very early days for you 🥰sending love ❤️ xx

I have planted lots of daffodil and narcissi bulbs on Kiba-Khan's grave. In the spring, I am going to buy Margeurite Daisy plant to go on there because whenever I picked KK up, I would say "Ups a daisy, big boy", I often wondered if he thought his name was Daisy! Also, I have ordered a stone ornament - when it arrives, I will take a pic.

I just received a message to say Kiba-Khan's ornament has arrived. I hope hubby has placed it on the grave and I will take a pic of it before I come to work tomorrow.

I was very pleased with Kiba-Khan's stone ornament for his grave. Hubby wants to lie flat the block that's on his grave and then put the ornament on top of that. He will be doing it today.
I've decided I'm never having cat insurance again! KK was insured so I thought I would claim for the emergency vet's visit. When I phoned to tell the insurance company he had died, they said if there was anything I hadn't claimed for, to do so, and that it could be backdated. I then decided to put in a claim for his heart problem diagnosis and treatment. The vets charged me £12.95 for processing the claim. The emergency vets charged me £20 for processing that claim. My regular vets said I could claim £122 - not a lot, I thought, but better than nothing. Nothing is what I got for that claim. They said my claim was declined because the treatment fell outside of the 12 month period for that condition. With the claim for the emergency vets, they took off the £20 plus £76 (they said the vet didn't tell me to take KK straight there! -no, the receptionist did!). Then they minused £99 excess, then 20% because of KK's age. I was finally left with £159 out of the £399 on the claim. Then to rub salt in my wounds, so to speak, they sent it to the vets instead of me!!!

hubby just sent me the photo of Kib-Khan's stone ornament - a lion! The face reminds me of KK and he also had a mane like a lion. It looks huge on the photo. I have already planted daffodil and narcissi bulbs and I will be able to plant things in the holes of the concrete block the lion's placed on. I am very pleased with it. From where it is the other cats can see it. In the summer I can grow lots of flowers in front of the greenhouse, behind the lion. on Flickr

It does make you wonder if it is worth taking insurance out at all 🙈Freddy is insured with animal friends and Riley and Elsa was with pet plan but Riley’s insurance premium shot up so high when he was 9 hubby cancelled the policy but I felt a bit uneasy thinking what if something happened and we ended up with a massive vet bill so we shopped about and now Riley and Elsa are too with animal friends I think it’s that peace of mind but I know what you mean lotsofcats it does make you wonder 🙈
